Mayor Alexander asked Trustee
Cerino ( Chairman of the Finance Committee) to explain the purpose of the hearing.
Trustee Cerino said the tentative budget was benchmark capturing input from all village
municipal departments with respect to forecasted sums of funds needed to perform duties
during the next fiscal year. Trustee Cerino said many hours will be spent during the next
3 weeks in reviewing each line item. In summary a Public Hearing will be set for 4/26/08.

Tentative Hearing closed 7:20 PM.

CONTINUATIONPUBLIC HEARING
REGARDING PROPOSED VERIZON

CABLE FRANCHISE AGREEMENT

Mayor Alexander opened the hearing saying he was pleased with the progress made with
respect to double wood’s (Double woods are 2 poles one next to the other). Mayor
Alexander thanked Verizon, Village Clerk John M. Karge and Trustee Marshall for their
efforts. The Mayor pointed out other items which needed Verizon’s attention such as
sign, hedges , lawn care and general maintenance of their facility on South Avenue.
Mayor Alexander asked Mr. John Butler of Verizon if he would provide a memo of
understanding stating they would be responsible for maintaining their property on an on
going basis as well as removing double wood’s as appropriate. Mr. Butler responded
saying they (Verizon) do not provide memos of understanding but can use this document
(Minutes) as written form committing them to proper and ongoing removal of double
wood’s as well as ensuring all maintenance to their property will be maintained by
conforming to village established standards. Trustee Cerino made some comments with
respect to “Build Out” and “Level Playing Field” which were satisfactorily answered by
Verizon Executives. Mr. Roger Connor of Cablevision also commented on several items
which were also responded to by Verizon Executives.
