Calabrese , Aye. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br /> that the Mayor and Board of Trustees of the Village of <br />Wappingers Falls, New York, will conduct a Public Hearing at the American Legion <br />th <br />Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, New York on the 28 of April, 2008 at 7: 00 <br />P.M. to review proposed budget for the Village of Wappingers Falls, Dutchess County, <br />New York, for the fiscal year 2008-2009 and any person may be heard in favor or against <br />on any item therein contained. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the Hearing at 7 pm. One Village Resident, the Board, <br />Village Treasurer and Village Clerk were in attendance. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander turned the Public Hearing over to Trustee Cerino who is the <br />Finance Chairperson and Deputy Mayor. Trustee Cerino went over the budget in detail <br />starting with Real Property Taxes in the general fund section highlighting revenues and <br />pointing out the tax levy for fiscal year 2008-2009 would be 7.95%. Trustee Cerino said <br />much work went into formulating the budget and proceeded to describe the many lines of <br />General Fund Expenditures. Mayor Alexander spoke saying this Public Hearing would <br />th <br />stay open and reconvene on Wednesday April 30 if we did not get closer during this <br />session. Trustee Cerino continued on with the expenditures asking periodically if there <br />were any questions, questions were few. <br /> <br />In summary, Trustee Cerino thanked all who participated in the many meetings / <br />work sessions which were held and also the Department Heads who presented their <br />budget projections and worked with the Board in achieving workable solutions to some <br />very difficult situations. The Final Budget Revenues for 2008-2009 are $3,955,842.00 up <br />$318,785.00 from the previous year. Budget attached. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander asked if there were any questions from the Board or Public, <br />none replied. The Mayor asked for a motion to close the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Cerino to close the Public Hearing on proposed budget 2008 – <br />2009. Seconded by Trustee Weitlich.
