Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on 3-13-85 at <br />7:30 P 24. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett't Tr. Greeo, Tr. Cioppat Tr. Costa, Tr. Mazochi~. Tr. <br />Careyt Tr. Boyle and Atty. Reilly. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett asked a moment of silent prayer be observed in memory of <br />Douglas Heady, local newspaper reported and Recreation enthuasist, who <br />recently passed away. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of a Public Hearing and regular meetin9 held 2-13-85~ workshop <br />session held on 2-19-85 & 2-28-85 had been duplicated and previously <br />presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Hotion by Tr. Mazochi, seconded by Tr. Carey that the above minutes be <br />acceped as written. Carried. <br /> <br />~enda: <br /> <br />Report on CATV Franchise renewal: <br />Mr. Howard Erichson, CATV representativet reported franchise expired and <br />they needed some action approving renewal as soon as possible. <br /> <br />Atty. Reilly reported proposals submitted by Vilkage were not acceptable <br />to CATV officials. <br /> <br />Mr. Erichson reported proposal is improvement over past franchise as fee <br />has been increased to Village. He stated they were starting new conetruction <br />at the site which would provide better service and signal quality would <br />be better. <br /> <br />Tr. Greco reported CATV could raise the rates anytime and Mr. Hrichson <br />replied company could raise rate 5% each year but renewal provides for <br />6 mo. prior notification of franchise renewal <br /> <br />Discussion followed on renewal of franchise. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cioppa~ seconded by Tr. Carey that the Village offer CATV <br />a 3 yr. contract with a 3 % option. <br /> <br />Roll call vote: All in favor. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Cioppa, seconded by Tr. Carey that the Village advertise <br />competitive bids for a new CATV franchise should proposal be tur~ed down; <br />provided ample time is given to respond. <br /> <br />Roll call vote: All in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />
