The regula~r meeting o£ the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />March g, 1977 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor S~nnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. Alfonso, Tr. Bain, Tr. Lawrence, <br />Tr. Belding, Tr. O'Rourke and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett stated this was the last regular meeting for Trustees Bain <br />and Belding as they were not seeking re-election. He congratulated them <br />for there many years of dedicated service to the Village. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting held Feb. 9, 1977 had been duplicated <br />and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr. Alfonso that the above minutes be <br />accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Communications: <br /> <br />Village Justice Mann's report for month of Feb., 1977 was read showing a <br />total of $1288.00 collected in fines. <br /> <br />Motioh by Tr. Belding, seconded byTr. Bain that the above report be <br />accepted as read. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter read fr~ Howard Malberg for the Wappingers Falls Jaycees requesting <br />permission to use the Mesier ~ark on 4-2-77 for their annual Easter Egg <br />Hunt. Copy forwarded Park Commission. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Belding, seconded by Tr. O'Rourke that permission be granted <br />per the recommendation of the Park Commission. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter read from th~ Park Commission requesting transfer of $500.00 from <br />Equipment to Other Expense fund in their budget. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Lawrence, seconded by Tr. Alfonso that permission be granted <br />above request. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter read fr~ Les Hadden, Convention Secretary, reporting the S.W. <br />Johnson Engine Co.#2 will:hos~ the D;C. Volunteer Firemens' Annual <br />Convention parade on Sept. 10, 1977. Line up will take place at 2:00 <br />and starting time is scheduled for 3:00 PM. He extends an invitation <br />to the Village Board to participate. Filed. <br /> <br />Letter read from Howard H. Brichsen, General Mgr. for US Cablevlsion <br />Corp., urging the Village Bd. to oppose passage of H-R 8~ the '~ell <br />Bill", as it would limit their ability to import progrmmming via micro- <br />wave. He reports such programming is essential to cable television's <br />present and future ability to provide consumers with viewing diversity <br />and variety. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons advised Village not to take a stand at this time as we <br />had ne knowledge of the bill. <br /> <br /> <br />
