The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />December 14, 1977 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor iynnett~ Tr. Dolan~ Tr. Lawrence~ Tr. Silvestri~ Tr. O'Rourke, <br />Tr. Schinella and Atty. Lyons~ & Treasurer Campilii <br />Absent: Tr. Alfonso: <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting held Nov. 9, 1977, Informational me,ting <br />held Nov. 16, 1977 and a special meeting held on Nov. 21, 1977 had been <br />duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Silvestrt, ~econded by Tr. Lawrence that the above minute~ <br />be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Delehanty reported speczfxcat~ons had been drawn up for the <br />purchase of a Utility truck. <br /> <br />'Mayor Synnett reported he conferred with the Village Treasurer and funds <br />were available fo~ same. <br /> <br />To be taken up later in the meetln~. <br /> <br />Mrs. Raffaele addressed meeting concerning a drainage problem which has <br />been occurring at their residence on North Street for the past 5 or 6 years. <br />She stated she wanted drainage pi~e repaired or removed to resolve problem. <br /> <br />Tr* Lawrence reported burden initiates With the Town of Poughkeepsie <br />and their bond issue for a draln~ge project has been defeated. He sta~ed <br />permission had been granted from St. Mary's to install a stro~ drain on <br />Downey Ave. <br /> <br />May°r Synnett reported he inspected area several times and he wouid contact <br />Town of Poughkeepsie in an effort to resolve the problem. <br /> <br />Tr. Silvestri reported he inspected the area and problem had been created <br />by the Town of'Poughkeepsie. <br /> <br />Mr. Raffaele reporte~ Village lived up to'its commitments with the Town <br />of Poughkeepsie but they did not live up to theirs. <br /> <br />Tr. Schinella reported Town of Poughkeepsie had requested additional <br />sewer hook ups and same had been refused. He inquired if drain h~d <br />been installed by the Village. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Village received two different opinions from Audit <br />& Control back in 1975. <br />One opinion stated that if the Village installed the draiaage system, they <br />should maln~ain same. The other opinion stated that if same was a private <br />drain, the Village could spend no money to repair same. <br /> <br /> <br />
