A Public Hearing on the proposed uses of Federal Revenue Sharing funds in the Village budget for the fiscal year 1978-79 was held on the 23rd day of March, 1978 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall, Present: Mayor tynnett, Ir. Dolan, Tr. Alfonso, Tr. Lawrence~ Tr. Silvestti, Tr. Schinella, Trustee-elect Diaregorio, Atty. Lyons and Treasurer Campilii. Absent: Tr. O'Rourke. Arty. Lyons reported purpose of the hearing was to provide residents of the Village the opportunity to present written and oral comments on the possible uses of said funds. Treasurer Campilii repotted in 1976-77 the Village anticipated receiving $$0,000. in revenue sharing but actually received $55,000. He stated same had been budgeted as follows: Police ($23~000.), Fire ($2,000.), Sanitation ($25~000.). He stated last year the Village anticipated receivin0 $$2,000. but actually received $43~000. which was down $9,000. Treasurer Campilii reported proposed funds were budgeted as follows: Police ($25,O00.), Fire ($2,000.) & Sanitation ($25~O00.) He stated $33,966 has been received in revenue sharing so far this year. Treasurer Campilii, stated,as of now, Police budget was over expended and Sanitation and Fire Department budgets were holding. Atty. Lyons reported a portion of the Public Hearing on the budget will include revenue sharing. Treasurer Campilii reported revenue sharing was considered part of the budget. Justice Mann inquired as to use of revenue sharing funds for the Court and Atty. Lyons replied funds were appropriated to minimize the a~ount of bookkeeping. He stated revenue sharing was part of the budget and the Village has to file a Planned Use report before funds are expended and an Actual Use report after funds are spent. Motion by Tr. Alfonsom seconded by Tr. Schinella that Public Heaxing be closed. Carried. 7:30 P.M. Village Clerk
