The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on 'June 14, 1978 <br />at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. DoXan~ Tr. Alfonso~ Tr. Lawrence~ Tr. Silvestri~ <br />Tr. Schinella, Tr. DiGregorio and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular Village Board held May 10, 1978 had been <br />duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Lawrence, Seconded by Tr. Silvestri that the above minutes <br />be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett stated a committee will be formed to protest the increase <br />in the Town of WappinGer assessments. <br />He reported Town, School and County taxes will increase and the Village <br />received no services from same. <br />Mayor Synnett'reported the Town Grievance Day is scheduled for June 20~ <br />and a meeting of concerned citizens will be held on June 19, 1978'at <br />7:00 P.M. He urged everyone to attend. <br /> <br />1978 <br /> <br />~enda: <br /> <br />~ction on proposed PBA contract: <br />Atty. Lyons reported he has drafted a contract setting forth agreement with <br />the PBA. He stated same has been signed by their bargaining agent, Officer <br />Joseph Bruce, and Village Board should authorize the Mayor to sign the <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Schinella, seconded by Tr. Alfonso that the Mayor be-authorized <br />tO siGne the contract between the Village and the PB~, the text of which <br />appears in its entirety immediately followin9 the minutes of this meeting. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Discussion of Flood Plain Management Ordinance: <br />Atty. Lyons reported final maps 'were filed two montha ago and by 9-1-78 <br />Village must adopt a Flood Plain Management Ordinance for properties <br />within the flood plain. <br />Me stated the purpose of the ordinance was to regulate use of property and <br />to establish c~nstructlon techniques. <br />Atty. Lyons reported we receive4 a copy of a sample ordinance as certain <br />regulations have to be followed. He stated same should be referred to the <br />Legislative Committee to draw up a Local Law which could be presented <br />at a Public Hg. prior to the July meetin9. <br /> <br />Stipulation and AGZeement with Department of Health: <br />Atty. Lyons reported he and Tr. $chinella appeared at a HearinG at the <br />Health Department on May 25~ 1978 on charges of certain violations' <br />at the old Village dump site. <br />He reported Hearing'has been adjourned until June 22, 1978 and if <br />Board accepts stipulation, ~atter will be dismissed. <br /> <br /> <br />
