The regular meetin9 of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday~ July 12, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Dolan, Tr. Alfonso~ Tr. Lawrence~ Tr. Silvestri, Tr. Schinella~ Tr. DiGregorio and Atty. Lyons. Minutes: Minutes of the last regular meeting held June 14, 1978 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. Motion by Tr. Lawrence,seconded by Tr. Silvestri that the above minutes be accepted as written. Carried. Agenda: Report on Street signs: Tr. Lawrence reported accidents have been occuring at various locations in the Village in which street signs were being damaged or missing. He stated accidents were rot being reported ands as a results the Village was not being reimbursed for the ~igus. Tr. Lawrence reported Insurance Companies should be notified that the signs must be replaced as this was a cos~ly item. Chief Brilliant and Police Committee to investigate matter and follow Up on sa~e, Chief Brilliant reported most of the signs being knocked down were not being reported. Tr. Lawrence inquired as to the light pole~on the bridge knocked down as the result of an accident. Tr. DiGregorio reported pole~ has been ordered at an ~stimated cost of $300.O0 and should be delivered within two or three weeks. He stated that once we have the total cost of the project, we will submit a bill to the Insurance company. Advertise bids for fuel oil: ~o%ion by Tr. Silvestri! seconded by Tr. Schir~lla that the Village advertise bids for the purchase of ~eel oil only and continue to use Village merchants for maintenanoe. Carried. Action on bids for used Police car: Village Clerk reported two bids were publicly opened and read on 7-11-78 and were as follows: 1. ~dward Ackerman - $150.00 2. Leon Ouinette - $55.00. Motion by Tr. $ilvestri, seconded by Tr. Schlnella that the high bid of $150.00 be accepted. Carried.
