The regular meetin9 of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday~ <br />July 12, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Dolan, Tr. Alfonso~ Tr. Lawrence~ Tr. Silvestri, <br />Tr. Schinella~ Tr. DiGregorio and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting held June 14, 1978 had been duplicated <br />and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Lawrence,seconded by Tr. Silvestri that the above minutes <br />be accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Agenda: <br /> <br />Report on Street signs: <br />Tr. Lawrence reported accidents have been occuring at various locations <br />in the Village in which street signs were being damaged or missing. <br />He stated accidents were rot being reported ands as a results the Village <br />was not being reimbursed for the ~igus. <br />Tr. Lawrence reported Insurance Companies should be notified that the <br />signs must be replaced as this was a cos~ly item. <br /> <br />Chief Brilliant and Police Committee to investigate matter and follow <br />Up on sa~e, <br /> <br />Chief Brilliant reported most of the signs being knocked down were not <br />being reported. <br /> <br />Tr. Lawrence inquired as to the light pole~on the bridge knocked down <br />as the result of an accident. <br /> <br />Tr. DiGregorio reported pole~ has been ordered at an ~stimated cost of <br />$300.O0 and should be delivered within two or three weeks. <br />He stated that once we have the total cost of the project, we will submit <br />a bill to the Insurance company. <br /> <br />Advertise bids for fuel oil: <br />~o%ion by Tr. Silvestri! seconded by Tr. Schir~lla that the Village <br />advertise bids for the purchase of ~eel oil only and continue to use <br />Village merchants for maintenanoe. Carried. <br /> <br />Action on bids for used Police car: <br />Village Clerk reported two bids were publicly opened and read on 7-11-78 <br />and were as follows: <br />1. ~dward Ackerman - $150.00 2. Leon Ouinette - $55.00. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. $ilvestri, seconded by Tr. Schlnella that the high bid of <br />$150.00 be accepted. Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
