The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />April l~ 1979 at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. Alfonso, Tr. Lawrence, Tr. $ilvestri, <br />Tr. DiGregorio, Tr. Viglotti and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular Village Board meeting held 3-14-79 and the Annual <br />meeting held 4-2-7g had been duplicated and previously presented to Board <br />members. <br /> <br />Tr. D~lan stated he did not make the motion, at the Annual meeting, designating <br />the Marine Midldnd Bank as Depository for Village funds. <br />He reported he moved to designate the Outchess Bank & Trust Co. as an alternate. <br /> <br />It was also determined that Tr. Alfonso was appointed to the Parks & Grants <br />Committee to serve with Tr. DiGregorio, <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. $ilvestri, seconded by Tr. DiGregorio that the above mentioned <br />minutes be ~ccepted as written and corrected. Carried. <br /> <br />Agenda: <br /> <br />Report on proposed 9rant for Water Department: <br />Chairman Catalano reported he submitted the necessary applications to <br />Engineer LaPar and, as far as he knew, same has been filed with the proper <br />agency. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported the Village Board will be conducting a workshop <br />session on April 25, 1979 at 7:30 P.M. and requested Mr. LaPar be present <br />to give a report on rue water grant. <br /> <br />Report on D~Iavergne Ave. Drainage: <br />Mayor Synrmtt reported Atty. Lyons had sent a letter to Town of Poughkeepsie <br />Supervisor Buchholz requesting action but, to date, we haventt received a <br />reply. He stated County Representative Poillucci had also sent a letter to <br />Mrs. Buchholz regarding the drainage problem. <br />Mayor Synnett stated in 1967 an estimate was received in the amount of <br />$81,000. to alleviate this condition but same ~as voted down by the Town <br />of Poughkeepsie. <br />He recommended sending a follow up letter and have a reply for our 4-25-79 <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Tr. Alfonso reported the Town af Poughkeepsie advised there were funds <br />available to alleviate5 the drainage problem. <br /> <br />Tr. Dolan suggested putting a moratorium on the sewer contract with the <br />Town of Poughkeepsie until the drainage problem is resolved. <br /> <br /> <br />
