A Public Hearing on a Local Law Repealing Local Law No. 1 of the year 1971, <br />with regard to the Annual Compensation of the Mayor & Trustees was held <br />on Aug. 15, lg?g at 7200 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. Alfonso, Tr. Silvestri~ Tr. Viglotti <br />& Atty. Lyons. <br />Absent: Trustees Lawrence & DiGregorlo <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported reason for the Hearing was that, orlglnally, it was <br />the opinion of the Department of Audit & Control that the above mentioned <br />salaries had to be fixed by a Local Law. Since then~ they have changed <br />their opinion and stated the salaries could be fixed the same'as all <br />other officers and employees. <br />Atty. Lyons stated it was necessary to repeal existing Local Law and new <br />law would become effective 6-1-80 <br /> <br />No one present voiced an opinion for or againsl Local Law. <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed 7~15 P.M. <br /> <br />A Public'Hearing on a Local Law Regulating Parking on High Street was <br />held on Aug. 15s 1979 at 7:15 P.M. <br /> <br />Attendance: Previously stated. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported purpose of the Local Law was to prevent the parking <br />of motor vehicles on the southerly side of High Street between Mill <br />Street and the Westerly end of High Street. <br /> <br />Mrs. Masterson stated it was foolish to enact Local Laws if they were <br />not enforced. <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />A Public Hearing on a Local Law Bstablishing a Loading Zone on the northerly <br />side of Bast Academy St. between South AWe. and a point 30' easterly <br />of South Ave. along the northerly side of Sast Academy St. <br /> <br />No one voiced an opinion for or against proposed Local Law. <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed 7:45 P.M. <br /> <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
