A Workshop meeting was held on August 21, 1979 at 6:30 P.M. <br />in the Village Hall, 7 Spring St. Wappingers Falls, N.Y. for the <br />purpose of discussing the proposed contract between the Village of <br />Wappingers Falls.and Waubaum's Shopping Plaza(Meyers Corners Degelppment <br /> Corp.) <br />Present were: <br /> <br />Deputy Mayor Calvin Lawrence, Att. James Lyons, Tr. Ray Dolan, Tr, <br />James Alphonso, Tr. Jack Silves~ri, Tr. Leu Viglotti, Tr. Frank <br />D~Gregorio, John Bracone, Nick Catalano, John Chase, Vincent Bennedditto <br />Att. A1 Roberts, Arron Malinsky, Ken Russ, Robert Levine and Rudy LaPar. <br /> <br /> In the absence of Mayor Synnett, Deputy Mayor Lawrence opened <br />the meeting at 6:30 P.M. and turned same over to Att. Lyons and Mr. <br />LaPar. <br /> <br /> Mr. La,ar stated that he had recieved the plans from the D.C. <br />Health Dept. and that they recommended the sewer system be tied into <br />the manhole South of Robe Car Wash. Meyers Corners Developement Corp. <br />will have a 10,OOO gallon holding tank with aireator to collect the <br />waste between the hours of 6:00 AM to 11:00 P.M. Discharge time will <br />be from 11:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. only so not to inferrer with the normal <br />Village flow. Mr. Russ stated that if a 10,000 gallon tank was not <br />sufficient that another 5,000 gallon tank would be dropped. Att. Lyons <br />suggested that a Master Meter be installed on the perimeter of the <br />property for sewer flow. Att. Roberts and Mr. Malinsky agrees to this. <br />Att. Lyons and Tr. Alphonso stated that the Village would maintain the <br />right to regulate the flow to and from the complex both for Water and <br />Sewer. <br /> Mr. LaPar stated that there may be a problem with the Easements <br />in regard to the water as there are about 4 properties overlapping in <br />the area of proposed hookups. Att. Lyons suggested considering the <br />difficulties of Easements in substituting a loop at Rockledge. Mr. <br />LaPar stated that a meter should be installed at the Pumping ~tation. <br />Tr. Dolan stated that the Village residents should not suffer any water <br />loss by the additional hookup from the Meyers Corners Developement Corp. <br />Mr. LaPar suggested considering tying into 2 hydrants rather than the <br />Easements. <br /> Mr. Bracone said that the Water Dept. would like double rates <br />plus any yearly increase that may occur. <br />Tr. Dolan stated that the Village shouldnot give the Meyers <br />Corners Degelopement Corp. more than a 10 year contract at one time. <br /> <br /> The representatives from the Meyers Corners Developement Corp. met <br /> with the Village Board at 7:00 P.M. this date. <br /> Att. Lyons read the terms of the proposed contract: <br /> (1) Remark plans submitted for Water and Sewer <br /> 42) Drop a lO,O00 gallon holding tank <br /> (3) Install ~ Master Meter on tank <br /> <br /> Double rates plus any increase throughout the Village <br /> 10 year contract <br /> No car wash or laundermat to he housed in the complex <br /> Mr. Malinsky objected to a 10 year contract because his loan <br /> will be for 25-50 years. He also stated that the Consumer Price Index <br />. (hereafter refered to as CPI) was unequatable. <br /> <br /> <br />
