A Workshop sessi0~ to discuss proposed Sewer & Water contract for the Myers Corners Development Corp. (WaldbaUm, s plaza) was held on 8-28-79 at 6:30 P.M, in the American Legion Hall. PreSent:'Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Alfonso, Tro Lawrence~ Tr. Silvestri~ Tr. Viglotti, Tr. DiGregorio and Atty. Lyons. Also present: Water Commissioners Catalano, Berinato'& Chase. Robert Levine, Aaron Malinsky, Atty. Albert Roberts and Vincent Atty. Lyons repo~ted previous meeting held and several points should be added to the contract. He stated rider to contract covers everythin9 previously discussed. He stated specifically developer shall install a 10,000 galo holding tank with a ~eter at the outflow to monitor smae. If additional capacity is required, builder would provide same. Instead of a closing loop, contractor would install an 8" water main from existing hydrant'at Rockledge Apts. to Dean Trucking Install master meter to measure flow of water at property line. Connect to sewer and water lines at Country Cleaners as specified by DoC. Health Dept. Village will not guarantee water pressure. They will pay minimum water rates or double rates as users in the Village which may be raised from time to time. They will pay the same sewer rates as outlined in the contract between the Village and To~n of Poughkeepsie and further contract negotiations concerning rates may be increased by 10~ but not less than 6~. Duration of the contract would be 15 yrs. fro~ the date of 1st connection and Village could cancel contract after 13 yrs. There would be an option to Corporation can cancel contract on six months notice whenTri-Municipal becomes a realty or the the Town installs water. It was agreed that rental space would not be provided for cars washes or laundromats. Contractor cannot connect to system until all work is done. Mayor Slmnett reported contract should include 2 pu~ps rather than one and this was agreed upon. Motion by Tr. Silvestri~ seconded by Tr. DtGregorio that the Village accept the amended contract with Myers Corners Development Corp~ for sewer and water. It was also agreed upon that the contractor be committed to put $48tO00. into the water system. Roll call vote: All voting in favor. Motion by Tr. Alfonso, seconded by Tr. Viqlotti that the Mayor be authorized to execute the above mentioned contract. Carried.
