<br />Minutes following the 11/12/2008 Village Board Meeting <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br /> that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers <br />th <br />Falls will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on the 12 day of November, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. <br />at the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, New York, at which <br />time all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard as to whether <br />the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls shall adopt a proposed Local <br />Law entitled "Local Law No. _____ of the Year 2008, No Stopping on Sidewalk.” <br /> <br />Trustee Cerino opened the public hearing at 7 PM. Attorney Viglotti read the proposed <br />local law and asked the Board and public if they had any questions. Some of those in <br />attendance asked about enforcement of existing laws. Others were concerned about signs <br />which were approved and never put up. Trustee Visentin said he would like to meet with <br />certain residents and businesses prior to asking the Board to approve this law. Trustee <br />Visentin said at this point he would like to table the proposed local law till December 10, <br />2008. All agreed. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Cerino to table this hearing to 12/10/2008. Seconded by Trustee <br />Marshall. The Mayor asked the Clerk to <br />read the proposed local law. Mayor Alexander asked for Board and public comment. <br />Questions were raised with respect to county re- levy and vacant buildings with past due <br />accounts. Attorney Viglotti said he would make some requested changes to the proposed <br />Local Law. The Board also needed to make a negative declaration as this action as it <br />affected the village code. Further discussion continued relative to the two proposed Local <br />Law numbering. Since proposed Local Law #6 was tabled proposed Local Law #7 will <br />now be Local Law # 6. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Cerino to close the public hearing on propose local law now #6 2008. <br />Seconded by Trustee Marshall. Carried. <br /> <br />PB <br />, Local Law #4. <br />REVIOUS USINESS <br /> <br />Attorney Viglotti pointed out that during the September public hearing on local law #4 <br />some changes were requested and made as they pertained to pick-up trucks.
