<br />Village Organizational Meeting <br />April 5th ,2010 <br /> <br />4/5/10 <br /> <br />Minutes following the 4/05/2010 Reorganization Meeting <br /> <br />Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Clerk to administer Oath of Office to : Trustee Costa, Trustee Alfonso <br />& Trustee Visentin. <br /> <br />Village Clerk John M. Karge administered the Oath of Office to reelected Trustee <br />Visentin and newly elected Trustee’s Costa and Alfonso. All in attendance congratulated <br />and applauded. <br /> <br />Roll Call <br />. <br />Mayor Alexander, Aye. Trustee Alfonso, Aye. Trustee Chase, Aye. Trustee <br />. <br />Kirstein, Aye. Trustee Visentin, Aye. Trustee Costa, Aye. Trustee Calabrese, Aye <br /> <br />Resolution authorizing the appointment of village officials who do not reside <br />in the village of Wappingers Falls. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS <br />, the Village of Wappingers Falls has considered and has created the <br />public offices of Village Treasurer, Acting Village Justice, Deputy Clerk, Deputy <br />Treasurer, Village Attorney and Building Inspector, and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the Village of Wappingers Falls has in the past and does wish to <br />continue to appoint certain individuals to these positions who may not reside within the <br />Village of Wappingers Falls. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED <br /> by the Mayor and the Village Board <br />of the Village of Wappingers Falls in session duly convened as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1.That any appointed Village Officer to the office of Village Treasurer, Acting <br />Village Justice, Deputy Clerk, Deputy Treasurer, Village Attorney or Building Inspector <br />may reside outside of the Village of Wappingers Falls provided that their residence is <br />located within the County of Dutchess. <br /> <br /> <br />2.Nothing contained herein shall have any effect on previous appointments <br />made by the Mayor and Village Board of the Village of Wappingers Falls as each <br />appointment was made with knowledge of the residence of the appointee and with a clear <br />waiver of any requirement pursuant to 3-300(2)(a) of the Village Law of the State of New <br />York. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3.This Resolution shall take effect immediately. <br />Page 1 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />X:\A Minutes Board\2010-04-05 reorg minutes.doc <br /> <br />
