Mayor Alexander explained the <br />purpose of the grant in detail stating he would ask the Village Board for approval to <br />process. Mayor Alexander asked if there were any questions, none replied. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Alfonso to close the public hearing. Seconded by Trustee Calabrese. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />T <br />HE CHAIR DECLARES THE PUBLIC HEARING CLOSED <br /> <br />PH <br />UBLIC EARING <br /> <br />T <br />HE CHAIR DECLARED THE PUBLIC HEARING OPEN <br /> <br />C <br />LERK READ PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br /> that the Board of Trustees of the Village of <br />th <br />Wappingers Falls will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on the 14 day of July, 2010, at <br />7:00 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, New York, at <br />which time all parties in interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard as to <br />whether the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers Falls shall adopt a proposed <br />Local Law entitled "Local Law No. 9 of the Year 2010, Amending Chapter 141, <br />Abandoned Vehicles Law, of the Code of the Village of Wappingers Falls.” <br /> <br />PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE <br /> that the purpose and intent of the proposed <br />Abandoned Vehicles Law <br />Local Law is to Amend Chapter 141, , of the Code of the <br />Village of Wappingers Falls. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander asked Village Attorney Viglotti to explain the intent. Attorney Viglotti <br />said failure to remove a junk, abandoned, discarded, unregistered or unlicensed vehicle, <br />after notice, is a violation of this Article and is hereby declared to be an offense <br />punishable by a fine not less than $75.00 nor more than $500.00 or imprisonment not <br />exceeded 15 days.
