<br /> Minutes following the 11/10/10 Village Board Meeting <br /> <br /> <br />11-10-10 <br /> <br />PH <br />UBLIC EARING <br /> <br />T <br />HE CHAIR DECLARES THE PUBLIC HEARING OPEN <br />C <br />LERK READS PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE <br /> <br />NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN <br /> that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers <br />TH <br />Falls will conduct a PUBLIC HEARING on the 10day of November, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at the <br />American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, New York, at which time all parties in <br />interest and citizens shall have an opportunity to be heard as to whether the Board of Trustees of <br />the Village of Wappingers Falls shall adopt a proposed Local Law entitled "Local Law No. 13 of <br />the Year 2010, Amending Section 5-1 of the Code of the village of Wappingers Falls so as to <br />allow Police Officers enforcement authorization under the Village Code.” <br /> <br />PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE <br /> that the purpose and intent of the proposed Local Law is <br />to allow police officers enforcement authorization under the Village Code. <br /> <br />PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE <br /> that a copy of the proposed Local Law is available for <br />review and inspection at the Office of the Village Clerk on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., <br />at the Village Hall, 2628 South Avenue, Wappingers Falls, New York. <br /> <br />Mayor Alexander opened the Public Hearing saying this was once in the code and is <br />being reinstated. Attorney Viglotti said this will increase the amount of people some 28 <br />full time and part time Police Officers to assist the zoning department under the Village <br />Code. The two areas needed are enforcing Section 141 of the Village Code , “Unlicensed <br />/ unregistered , abandoned and / or junk vehicles and Section 132 “Streets and <br />Sidewalks” in particular 132-11, Removal of snow and ice.” Mayor Alexander asked the <br />Board if they had comments, none replied. Mayor Alexander asked the public if they had <br />any comments, none replied. <br /> <br />Motion by Trustee Alfonso to close the Public Hearing.
