A special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on 7-20-81 <br />at 8:00 P.M. in the American Legion Ha~l. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Tr. Horuzzi, Tr. Greco, Tr. Costa, Tr. Mazochi~ <br />Tr. Viglotti, Tr. DiGregorio and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />May(= Synnett reported purpose of the meeting was to ratify OBA contract <br />and to make a decision on the Tri-5!uniclpal project. <br /> <br />Tr. Moruzzi reported Negotiating Comm. was in agreement and Police were <br />notified of this meeting. He stated contract would rung 2 yrs. and raises <br />average 12% per yr. He recommended contract be enacted. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Moruzzi, seconded by Tr. Costa that the Village ratify the <br />2 yr. contract with the Police Department's PBA organization as recommended <br />by the Police Negotiating Comm. and authorize the Mayor to sign sa~e. <br /> <br />Roll call vote: Tr. Moruzzi (aye), Tr. Viglotti (aye), Tr. Costa (aye), <br />Tr. DiGregorio (aye), Tr. Greco (aye), Tr. Mazochi (aye). Carried. <br /> <br />Report on Tri-Municipa~: <br />Tr. Moruz~i reported the Village was asked to make a decision to either <br />accept or reject the facilities plan. He recommended that, since the <br />Village was under mandate, it was in the best interest of the Village <br />to participate as long as the program is functioning. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Moruzzi~ seconded by Tr. Greco that the above recommendation <br />be accepted. Roll call vote: all in favor. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported they were cleaning up old Village dumpsite and <br />requested permission to investigate the installation of a ballfield <br />behind Leewood Arms as it was an ideal location. <br /> <br />Discuss ion followed on the feasability of same.for Girls' Softball use. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Mazochi, seconded by Tr. Moruzzi that the Village explore <br />the possibility of the above. <br /> <br />Tr. Moruzzi reported his only concern would be the costs involved. <br /> <br />Tr. DiGregorio reported use should be left open and have engineers <br />investigate matter further. <br /> <br />Tr. Greco reported costs would be minimal and ~ield would be for all <br />Village people and should be emdorsed. <br /> <br />Tr. Mazochi reported he~s in favor of the project. <br /> <br />Roll call vote - All in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />
