A Workshop session was held on 9-29-81 at 8:00 ~.M. in the American Legion <br />Hall to discuss Mr. DiCambio's request for a change of zoning to allow <br />a trailer park on Channingville Rd. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. ~oruzzi, Tr. Costa, Tr. Mazochi, ~tty. Lyons <br />ane Eng. Paggi. <br /> <br />May~ S~mnett reported he has scheduled a workshop session with represent- <br />atives of Central Hudson for Oct. 8s 1981 at 7:00 P.M. to discuss utilities <br />along Main Street. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Mr. DiCambio has requested a zoning change ~o <br />allow a trailer park on Channingville Rd. which would be comprised of <br />114 units. He stated it was suggested that request be returned to <br />Planning Bd. for recommendations and report back.to the Board for a <br />decision. Atty. Lyons reported we didn't know the feelings of the people <br />in the area and there was a problem with the sewer capacity. <br />He stated that if property was rezoned, we would have to adopt mobile <br />park regulations. <br /> <br />DiscUssion followed on the condition of the sewer line alon9 Clinton St. <br />and other areas in the vicinity. <br /> <br />Aotiond~ferred as everyone was not present. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Mazochi, seconded by Tr. Moruzzi that the Village Arty. <br />be authorized to continue with the purchase of the Ea~en property on <br />School St. Carried. all in favor. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Mazochi, seconded by Tr. Costa that the. following resolution <br />be adopted: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, one Orlando DiMarco has instituted civil action against this <br />Village and its engineer because of an alleged breach of contract <br />involving repairs to the Garner firehouse, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, issue has been joined and it appears that the matter may <br />resulted in protracted litigation, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said p~intiff's attorney has offered to accept the sum of <br />$500.00 in full settlement of all claims against the Village, and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the opinion ~f the Village Attorney that while Mr. <br />DiMarco's suit is without merit, the cost ~f defending the s~me further <br />will be considerably in e~cess of $500.00, <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE 1T RESOLVED that the Village accept the compromise <br />offer aforesaid~ and that the Village Treasurer be authorized and directed <br />to deliver to the Village Attorney a check in the amount of $500.00 <br />payable to the plaintiffs attorney~ and that such check be paid over <br />to said plaintiff's attorney upon receiving from him a General Re~ease and <br />a Stipulation of Discontinuance in the ~ending action. <br /> <br />Resolution adopted all in favor. <br /> <br /> <br />
