The regular meeting o£ the Village Board of Trustees was held on 10-14-81 <br />at 7:30 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Tro Moruzzi, Tr. Greco, Tr, Costa~ Tr. Mazochi, Tr. DiGregorio~ <br />Tr. Viglotti, Atty. Lyons and Engineers Paggi & Martin. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett absent due to illness and Acting Mayor Viglottb p~eeided at <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Viglotti asked that a moment of silent prayer be observed in <br />memory of William Horton, Town Highway Supt., and former Poughkeepsie City <br />Mayor Robert Ahmed, who recently passed away. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular meeting held 9-9-81 had been duplicated and <br />previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiGregorio, seconded by Tr. Greco that the above minutes be <br />accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. August Christopher addressed meeting concerning the noise and odor <br />stemming from a repair shop next to his residence at 152 West Main St. <br />which, he stated, has been a =ecurring problem. <br /> <br />Tr. Greco reported he contacted D.C. Health Dept. and they inspected the site. <br />He stated there were no residuals outside and they were not using a dry well. <br />Tr. Greco reported they were monitoring the site and there was no evidence <br />of anything being placed on the ground outside. <br /> <br />Mr. Christopher reported they were still spraying outside and Mr. Tarquini <br />was still <br /> <br />Tr. Greco reported nothing received concerning any action taken against <br />Thornton or Tarquini. <br /> <br />Mr. Christopher reported there was a parking problem in the area and-they <br />were blocking the entrance to his property. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Village could enact a local law. disallowing the parking <br />of vehicles on the east side of the highway from the northerly Village line <br />to Clinton St. and we have State approval for same. <br /> <br />Tr. Viglotti recommended a letter be forwarded Mr° Jack Hill of D.C. Health <br />D~pt. requesting an inspection be made and a report of action taken be <br />filed with the Village. <br />He also reported we would look into the parking problem. <br /> <br />Mr. D£Camblo requested permission to address meeting relative to & request for <br />a zoning change. <br /> <br /> <br />
