Miscellaneous meeting of the Village Bd, of Trustees was held on We~.~ Mar. <br />25~ 1970 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Bain, <br />and Arty. Lyons. <br />Those absent: Tr. Valentino and Tr. Cheetham. <br /> <br />Tr. Fries~ Tr. Hoolihan, <br /> <br />Minutes of Miscellaneous meeting held 2/25/70 had been duplicated and pre- <br />viously presented to Village Bd. members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomlzio~ seconded by Tr. Bain~that the above minutes be <br />accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />~ommunications: <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Thomas Tait~ 15 School St.~ reporting his curb box <br />broken during snow plowing. Copy of letter forwarded insurance carrier. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Joseph.Fries~ 20 South Ave,, reporting the top <br />broken off his curb box by Village snow plow, during a recent snow storm. <br />Copy of letter forwarded insurance c~rrier, <br /> <br />Letter was read from S.W. Johnson Engine Co., reporting David Jeffers~ Brook- <br />side Ga rdens~ was elected as a member of their company, <br />Motion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr. DiDomizio that the above action be accepted. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. John E. Montague, 10 Kevln <br />applying for position as Patrolman with the WapplnGers Falls Police Dept. <br />He is a current name og qivil service list. <br />To be tarn up later in meeting, <br /> <br />Letter ~as read from Capt. CQsta reporting the following: <br /> l) Recommend John Monta~ue be hired as a probationary Policeman <br /> for six (6) months. <br /> 2), Recommend a 10 mile radius of Village boundary for Pollce~an's <br /> residence. <br /> 3) 19~8 Chevrolet Police car laid up on account of engine trouble. <br /> Oil shooting into number 6 cylinder. <br /> Need~ complete overhauling having a speedometer reading of 51~8OO <br /> miles. <br /> <br />Motion ~y Tr. DiDo~izio, seconded ~¥ T~. Fries that Police Dept. be instructed <br />to acquire prices for a new and rebuilt engine for above mentioned car. <br />Carried. <br /> <br />Letter was read fro~ Mrs. Arlene Monte, Pine Hill Dr., complaining about <br />condition of litter in the area of Imperial Plaza and requests corrective <br />action be taken as rats have been seen in the area. <br /> <br />Safety Inspector to i.nspect a reD as to violations at the Imperial Plaza. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. DiDomizio~ seconded by ~r. Fries that tb.e o~mers of Imperial <br />Plaza be notified that they are in vi~lation of a Village ordinance. Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
