Public Hearing on the tentative Village budget for the year 1970-71, was <br />held on Wed., April 15~ 1970 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari~ Tr. DiDomizio, Tr. Bain, Tr. Synnett~ Atty. <br />Lyons and Treasurer McDonald. <br />Those absent: Tr. Valentino, Tr. Hoollhan and Tr. McCluskey. <br /> <br />Village Clerk announced notice of Public Hearing had appeared in the W.S.D. <br />News on 4/9/70. <br /> <br /> Mr. Raymond Chase, Recreation Chairman, requested rate of pay for maintenance <br /> men be increased from $1.75 per hr. to $2.00 per hr., as they would be <br /> equipment operators and would have to be 18 yrs. of age. <br />He also discussed possibility of bidding out grass cutting as this would <br />give Recreation Comm. some flexibility, <br />He stated $11,000 for recreation was only 2~ of the ~otal budget. <br /> <br />Mr. Chase requested direction from Village Bd. as to a break down of how much <br />Recreation Comm, could spend without authorization from Village Bd. <br />Mayor Furnari replied a report will be sent to all Committee Chairman and <br />Department heads as to Village's policy on spending. <br /> <br />Mr. Francis Farrell, Goring Place, inquired if there was anything set aside <br />for repair to that street. <br />Mayor Furnari replied some funds have been allocatted under Highway Project. <br /> <br />Village Clerk discussed bills for Mesier Homestead including gas, electric, <br />fuel oil, rental of Xerox Machine and office cleaning and suggested same be <br />made part of Village Hall expense. <br /> <br />Treasurer Me/~onald suggested getting a break down on above costs for the com- <br />ing year and include same under Village Hall expense the following year. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported action will be taken on proposed budget on 4/22/70 and <br />declared Public Hearing closed. <br /> <br />Adjourned: 8:00 P.M. <br /> <br /> D.
