Miscellaneous meeting of the Village Bd. of Trustees was held on Wed.~ <br />.April 22~ 1970 at 7:30 P.M, in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari,~ Tr. DiDomizio~ Tr. Valent~no, Tr. Bain, <br />Synnett, Tr. McCluskey and Atty. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. McCluskey~ seconded by Tr. DiDomlzio that meeting go out of <br />regular order of business. Carried. <br /> <br />Mr. & Mrs. Burke~ Mr. & Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. SeifT$~ residents of Laffin <br />Ave.~ present to discuss sewer problem. <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizlo reported Village was aware of problem which exists on private <br />property as same was discussed previously, <br /> <br />Mr. Johnson addressed meeting reporting sewer_line was installed by contractor <br />and connected to Village sewer, He stated there was access on his property <br />for clean up reasons. <br />Mr. Johnson reported That 2 or 3 Times a year sewer line gets stopped up and <br />runs into the lake causing a health hazard, He recommended finding out where <br />obstruction was and the method for correction. <br />Mr. Johnson stated it should be determined Where responsibility lies as raw <br />sewage is entering the lake. <br /> <br />Mrs. Johnson reported she has lived on the street for 20 ygars, received ser- <br />vices from the Village and inquired if street was private or public. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons recommended meeting with property owners involved to inspect deeds, <br />He reported many of services rendered, shouldn,t be rendered as this was <br />basically and privately a problem of residents, but due to circumstances <br />something will bare to be done. <br /> <br /> Meeting to be held with prope~y owners on Monda~ 4/27/70 at 7:30 P.M. and <br /> Mayor Furnar~ thanked delegation for Their attendancee <br /> <br /> Mr. Raymond Chase, Recreation Chairman~ addressed meetlug reporting a balance <br /> of $1200 in budget and cost for fence at Canale Field would be $80~, He stated <br /> budget for The new fiscal year amounted to $10~000 and $8700 has already been <br /> committed, <br />Mr. Chase reported Arts and Crafts program would run for two months and base- <br />ball for three months. He stated budget was very confining and requested the <br />followin9: <br /> 1) Property abutting Clapp Ave, be set aside for a future recreation area. <br /> 2) Request $3,000 extra in budget, <br /> 3) Land at Veterans Field be surveyed. <br /> <br />Mr. Chas~ reported Womens Softball LeaQue had to be turned down due to lack <br />of facilities and there would not be any program for ~eenagers. <br />He discussed possibility of installing an ice skating rink at Veterans Park <br />at an approximate cost of $3~0OO, <br /> <br />Tr. DiDomizio discussed peesibiliTy of Village doing something in the area <br />of Veterans Park, <br /> <br />Tr. SynnetT requested The purchase of 2 wings for dug ou~s at St. Mary's Field. <br /> <br /> <br />
