/?3 <br /> <br />Public Hearing on proposed Zoning Ordinance for the Village of Wappingers <br />Falls was held on Monday, May 25~ 1970 at 7:30 P.M. in the Garner Engine <br />House. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio~ Tr. Bain, Tr, Synnett, Tr, <br />Moolihan, Tr. McCluskey and Atty~ Lyons. <br /> <br /> Planning Bdo members: Mr. Breault, Mr. Epstein~ Mr. Ward and Mr. Herring. <br /> <br />'Also present: Planning Consultant ~ave Portman~ Zoning Enforcement Officer <br /> Haubennestel and Zoning Bd. o~ Appeals members Frank Savelli and Harold Myers. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported notice of public hearing appeared in W.&S.D. News on <br />5/7/70 and proper notice had'been forwarded, Clerks for Town of Wappinger~ <br />Town of Poughkeepsie and'D.C. Planning Board. <br /> <br />A~ty, Lyons gave resume of ordinance reporting same consist~ of text, two <br />schedules and a map. He reported it was the intent to guide future .growth <br />and development in accordance with Master Plan. He stated ordinance con- <br />sisted of the following: <br /> 1) Definitions <br /> 2) Establishment of Distric{~ ~ <br /> <br /> 3)' Schedule of Regulations <br />Arty. Lyons reported this section deals with general and specific governing <br />uses of land and bldgs, among District regulations. <br /> <br />He reported schedules list many requirements too lengthy to cover. <br /> <br />Me Stated administration and enforcement doesn't differ much from present <br />ordinance as it calls for Zoning Bd. of Appeals and Zoning Enforcement Officer,'~ i <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported ordinance establishes schedule of fees and amendments <br />to ordinance. He stated modifications have been made since last hg. in re- <br />ference to density in a residential zone. He reported minimum lot size has <br />been changed from ?O00 to 7500 s~. <br /> <br />Arty. Lyons reported another change was made in non conforming use c~ncern- <br />lng system of advertislng~ He also reported time limitation abandoning use <br />of property has been extended to 18 mos. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Mr. Osten's ~roperty on E. Main St. has been changed <br />to O.B. to allow newspaper production on the property. <br /> <br />He reported Williams and DiCambio p~operty had been zoned singular family <br />residential and new proposal would have a portion of each zoned for multi <br />family ~seo (8 to 12 dwelling units per acres) <br /> <br />Mr. Savelli inquired as to how many un%ts were being planned ~or the Williams <br />and DiCambio property and Mr. Breault replied no plans had been approved ye~ <br />but %rnder proposed ordinance 10~ was the maximum number of units per acre. <br /> <br />Mr~ Breault reported he did n~t know the acreage of the. Williams property, <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported ~emsen Ave. side would be zoned all residential, <br /> <br />Mr. Savelli reported that according to Village Engineer, sewers were marginal. <br /> <br /> <br />
