Miscellaneous meeting of the Village Bd. of Trustees was held on Wedo~ May 2?, <br />1970 at ?:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present:'Mayor F/lrnari~ Tr. DiDomizlo~ Tr. Bains Tr. Slmnett~ Tr, Hoolihan~ <br />Tr, McCluskey~ h and Arty, Lyons. <br />Absent: Tro Valentino. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported the following topics would be taken up: <br />1. Schedule of projects for Highway Dept, <br />2, Authorization to sign contract for water tank, <br />3. R~port on clean up of Imperial Plaza area, <br />4. Authorization to purchase pipe for playground. <br />5. Authorization to purchase lawn mower. <br />6. Appointment of part time clerk. <br />7, Report o~ Dog Warden position. <br />8. Report on D~rtchess Ave. parking. <br />9. Adopt updated record System. <br /> <br />MinUtes of Miscellaneous meeting held 4-22-70 had been duplicated and previously <br />presented to Bd, members, <br />Motion by Tr, McCluskey, seconded by Tr. Hoolihan that above'minutes be accepted <br />as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Petitions: None <br /> <br />Co~unlcatious: <br /> <br />Mayor Furnarl reported receiving thank you note from the family of Police <br />Chief Martin, <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mrs. Monte requesting permission'to use Mesier Pk. on <br />June 6 between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM for the Citizen Drug Action Comm. of S.D. <br />Invited to speak was Jackie Robinson and Rev.Dempsey. <br /> <br />Mayor Furnari reported mothers in the area are concerned with the drug problem <br />and this was a worthwhile organi~ation, <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. McCluskey~ seconded by Tr, DiDomizio that permission be granted <br />above request, pending approval of Pa~k Comm. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the'n~her of people who would participate in this <br />rally and the effect it would have on the Park. <br /> <br />Three voted in favor of above request - 3 a§ainst. Action deferred. <br /> <br />Letter was read fro~ Georg Miner for *~,Wapp, Apts. Corp, reporting'effective <br />May 15, 1970~ Imperial Towers Apts. shall henceforth be known as Colony Village <br />Apts, All other'details relative to the demised premises shall rema~ status <br />quo, Filed <br /> <br />Letter was read from Garner Engine Co. advising that Capt. Francis Farre11 <br />of their company has appointed ~ugene Toohey to the Fire Police Squad of the <br />Village and has been accepted, Subject to Bd, approval. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr, Hoolihan, seconded by Tr. Synnett that approval be given the <br />above action, Carried. <br /> <br /> <br />
