Miscellaneous meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wed., <br />July 22, 1970 at 7:30 P.M. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizio, Tro Valentino, Tr. Bain, <br />Tr. Synnett, Tr. Hoolihan, Tr. McCluskey and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Petitions: None <br /> <br />Communicat ions: <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Bric Johnson, Sheafe Rd., applying for position as <br />Patrolman with Wappingers Falls Pollce Dept. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Larry Noonan, Yorkshire Apts., applying for position <br />as Patrolman with Wappingers Falls Police Dept. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Capt. Costa recommending Mr. Eric Johnson be hires as <br />provisional Pollceman with the Wappingers Falls Pollce Dept. <br /> <br />Motion' by Tr. Synnett, seconded by Tr. McCluskey that Mr. Eric Johnson <br />be hired as provisional Pbliceman, with a 6 month probation period. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Charles B. Bell~ submitting the following estimate: <br />planting 2 flowering Crabapple trees, 4 to 6' high ($30.00)$ I Dogwood tree <br />4 tO 6' high ($20.00); Labor for planting-$40.00. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Synnett, seconded by Tr. Hoolihan that the above estimate be <br />accepted. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Charles DeMarco, 10 W* Academy St., complaining about <br />condition of sldewalk from the corner of Clapp Ave. on the north side down <br />along W. Academy St. past his home. Copy forwarded Highway Comm. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Castle Point Hospital, reporting that on Sunday, July 28, <br />1970 at 2:00 P.M. they will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary of Veterans <br />Administration with a formal ceremony at the flag pole in front of the <br />Administration Bldg. Mayor and Village Md. invited to attend. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Village Planning Bd. Chairman, Norman Breault, reporting <br />that at a special meeting, the Planning Bd. voted to-hold to the plan as it <br />was proposed at the last hearing. He states conclusion was drawn after due <br />consideration of the facts presented in a'meeting with the Village Bd. of <br />Trustees.-to be taken up under old business. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. John Haubennestel with attached request from N.Y. <br />Telephone Co. for permission to pump out the water in basement of t heir build- <br />lng at 10 South Ave., through their sanitary sewer. He wants the Board to <br />advise him if permission is granted, due to an emergency, to relleve the <br />situation by permitting pumping for approximately three hours per day until <br />a safe level is reached. <br /> <br />Mr. Haubennestel reported they are losing 2~ gals. per minute. <br /> <br /> <br />
