Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on ~ednesday, <br />Aug. 11~ 1971 at 7:iX) P.H. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomisio, ~r. Oolan, Tr. Rain, Tro <br />Synnett~ Tr. McCluskey0 Tr. Sullivan and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Petitions: None <br /> <br />Com~unicat ions <br /> <br />Village Justice ~eilly's report for month of July. 1971 was read showing a <br />total of $914.00 collected in fines. <br /> <br />Hot'on by Tr. McC]uskey~ seconded by Tr, Sullivan that above report be <br />accepted as read. Cazrled. <br /> <br />Zoning Officer's report for month of July, 1971 was read showing a total <br />of $230°00 collected in fees. <br />MOtion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr. DiDomlzio that above rep~ t be accepted <br />as read. Carried. <br /> <br />Card of Appreciation was read from the family of Sterling ~egg. Filed. <br /> <br />I~tter was read from Vincent L. Freni, 47 Rochdale Rd.~ applying for positio~ <br />of Policeman with the Wappingers Falls Police Dept0 Character references <br />attached. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Sullivan. seconded by Tr. DiDomisio that copies of above be <br />turned over to Capt. Costa and Police Comm° for zecommendatlons. Carried. <br /> <br />Copy of & letter was read from Adler-Brenner ~o Richard Barger outlining <br />requirenents to be followed in preparing topographical survey of the treat- <br />ment plant site. Pilled. <br /> <br />Letter was read from Mr. Stanley Steingut, N.Y.C. Assemblyt recous~ending the <br />passage of appropriate legislation to make the Village eligible for additional <br />State funds in connection with tax exempt property. <br />Motion by Ir. DiDomizio, seconded by Tr. NcCluskey that a copy of above letter <br />be formarded Village Attorney and Assessor. Carried. <br /> <br />Letter from Mr. Norman Breault, ~lanning ~do Chalrman~ advising that the <br />site plans as presented by McDonald ts dated 6-28-71 were approved by the <br />Planning Bd. To be taken up under agenda. <br /> <br />I~tter was read from Mr. Donald Lockwood~ 89 E. Main St.. recommending that <br />the hump in front of his ho~ be eliminated before resurfacing the street. <br />Copy of letter forwarded Public Works Comm. <br /> <br />Letler was rea(] from ~r. John [.. Rie, o~ner of bldg. 12, Du~chess Bleachery~ <br />requesting tax aba~ement as it is unoccupied and not in use at this time. <br />Copy o~ letter forwarded Village Treasurer and Assessor. <br /> <br /> <br />
