Miscellaneous meeting of the Village Sd, of Trustees was held on Hednesday, Oct. 27j 1971 at 7:00 r~.Mo in the Mesler Homestead° Those present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDomizlo, Tr. Dolan, Tro Halnj Tr. Synnett, Tr, McCluskey, Tr, Sul. livan and Arty, Lyons. ~ommunications: Letter was read from Mr, Thomas MarcoJohn with attached estimate for dama~s at 20.& 22 Nelson Ave. resulting from recent floods. Motion by Tr, Synnett, seconded by Tr. Bain that a copy of above be forwarded Insurance Agent. Carried, Copy of a letter was read from Zoning Officer to Thomas Logan reporting no Certificate of Occupancy was necessary at the corner of Main & Mill Sts. for the ~epublican Party Headquarters~ for a period not to exceed 30 days. Piled. Copy of a.letter was read from Zoning Officer to Mr, Louis Diehl reporting no Certificate of Occupancy was necessary at 17 E. Main St., for the Democratic Party headquarters, for a period not to exceed 30 days. Carried. Letter was read from Mr. Ja~es D. Findlay of the ~applngers Lions Club requesting permission to hold a Halloween parade on Fridan, Oct. 29j 1971 and also t,ollce assistance. Motion by Tr. $1mnett, seconded by Tr. PiDomlzio that the above request be granted. Carried. Mayor Furnari reported invitation has been received from McDonaldJs to participate in its opening day ceremonies on Oct. 28, 1971 at 10:30 AM in · he Imperial Plaza. Tr. Synnett r~orted roof at the Johnson Fire House has been repaired. Mayor Furnari reported attending a meeting on Oct. 19, 1971 at the office of the County Planning Bd., Oougbkeepsie~ N.Y. regarding Comprehensive sewer plan for Town of Wappinger, Village of Wappingers Falls and southern portion of the Town of Voughkeepsle. tie stated representatives of the County Health aha Planning Departments~ N.Y.S. Office of '~lannlng~ .=hire ~aters Corp. and Town of Poughkeepsie were present. Nayor Furnari reported the proposed upgrading of the Village~s sewer plant was discussed. He distributed copies of a letter from Allan Rappleyea concezning above meeting. The conclusion reached was that thc County Planning Rd. and the New York State O~fice of Vlanning would approve the Village o£ ~a[~ingers Falls expansion program and it was felt that for future ouidance all three municipalities (Town of Poughkeepsie, ~appinger~ Village o£ ~applngers Falls) should look toward a joint sewerage operation at the lludson River at a ti~e when such a proposal mas economically feasibleo Mayor Furnari reported that at above meeting lack of funds for Secondary Treatment plants wad discussed.
