A Public Hearing to seek public input as to a solution to the
problem with overnight parking at Oak Park was held on
~-t0-02 at 7:20 PM.

Tr. Davis reported Oak Park residents had recently discussed
above problem at a Workshop and, for the past couple years,
the Board had relaxed parking restrictions in that area, due
to sidewalk and street const~nction.
He said notice previously sent residents advising they were
going back to Village parking but the Board would address
residents concerns in that area in an effort to remedy
situation.

Sandra Bonjiorno, home owner in Oak Park, said she was here
to complain about overnight parking in the complex; she said
area was densely populated with each family owning between
two to five cars and, over the past few years, various
remedies have been discussed, including a Village traffic
study.

Tr. Davis discussed various parking problems throughout
Village and any remedies to be made will be done so as a
community.

Mrs. Bongiorno suggested forming a committee to study parking
issue in an effort to resolve problem.
She said Village has grov~ and laws have to be mandated.

Mayor Ross inquired if Homeowners felt Board had solution to
the problem or did they, as a group, have their own
expectations.

Mrs. Bonoiorno said they had some input but felt formation of
committee to investigate problem would be the best means to
achieve a solution.

Several suggestions were made as to possible solutions
and most residents felt allowing parking in the inner circle
was best remedy to the problem.

Calvin Lawrence, former Village Trustee, said this was an
ongoing problem in Oak Park and, since streets were wide,
Village forces didn't encounter any problems with snow plow
operations.
