Public Hearing on proposed local law authorizing installation <br />of Stop signs at various locations within Village was held on <br />Wednesday, June 12, 2002, at 7:00 PM in the American Legion. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti discussed proposed law and said first Stop <br />sign was Oak Park Terr. travelling in a southerly direction, <br />and sign would be placed at intersection of Oak Park Terr. <br />and S. Gilmore Blvd. The second was on Maple street <br />travelling in a westerly direction and Stop sign would be <br />placed on S. Remsen Ave.; third sign was on Maple Street in <br />the opposite direction at S. Remsen Ave.; fourth sign was on <br />S. Remsen Ave., the portion which exits Junior High School, <br />travelling in a northerly direction exiting school at <br />intersection of S. Remsen Ave.; Park Street in a easterly <br />direction on N. Mesier Ave. and Park Street in a westerly <br />direction on Spring St. <br /> <br />Discussion followed ~ time limit as to when above law can be <br />enforced. <br /> <br />No further discussion, public hearing closed. <br /> <br />A second public hearing on proposed law prohibiting parking <br />of boats and boat trailers on Village streets was held at <br />7:15 PM. <br /> <br />Atty. Viglotti said second law would create new section of <br />Code (1~2-6&) prohibiting parking or storage of boats or boat <br />trailers on Village streets and discussion on law followed. <br /> <br />r. Weitlich said he assumed it would be legal when trailer <br />was attached to a car and Atty. Viglotti said it was intent <br />of Committee to prohibit parking altogether. <br /> <br />Tr. Cerino said parking of boats and trailers on Village <br />streets poses a safety hazard. <br /> <br />No further comment, Public hearing closed. 7:30 PM <br /> <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
