Regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on <br />Wednesday, February g~1983 at 7:30 in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett~ Trustees Carey, Cioppa, Greco, and <br />M~zochi; Atty. Lyons~ and ~flgineer Paggio <br /> <br />Petition re Parking on Clapp Avenue and Lower Henry Street. <br /> <br />Mr. Robt. Hargraves of Lower Henry Street addressed the Board <br />in reference to the petition. He stated that it was felt that <br />the Notice of Public Hearing zegardin0 the ordinance limiting <br />parking in Bain Park was unclear in that it did not state all <br />the locations in the area where parking would be restrioted~ <br />and requested clarification o~ same. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett stated that sidewalks and curbs were planned ~or <br />Clapp Avenue and that would have an effect on parking. <br /> <br />Mrs. Mioelli of 27 Clapp Avenue asked what sidewalks were going <br />to be put in. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett stated that the developer of Creek View was going <br />to ~ustall curbing and the village would continue up to Franklin- <br />dale Avenue. <br /> <br />Mrs. McKinney said that it was her understanding that the area on <br />Lower Henry Street had been filled in for a parking area. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett clari£ied that the area had been filled as a park <br />area~ and was never intended to provide parking. <br /> <br />Mr. Anthony Mazochi said that people were entitled to a place to <br />park but that should be provided by the landlord or property owner, <br />that the Village was not responsible to provide parking, and that <br />as a taxpayer he did not think taxpayers should have to bear the <br />cost for claims against the Village due to any damage to vehicles <br />parked on Village property. <br /> <br />Mrs. Manning asked where could residents park? <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reiterated that that waste responsibility of the <br />landlord who was required to provide adequate parkin9 by the <br />zoning law. <br /> <br />It was asked why were McNamee'a trucks parked on Village property~ <br /> <br />The Trustees qxplained that this was under an~greement which was <br />part of the con$~a~t~b~:contzac~ <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Glusker asked what ~eee the plans for Bain Park? <br /> <br /> <br />
