PUBLIC HEARING ON COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROJECTS <br /> <br />A PUBLIC HEARING on proposed CDBG Projects was held on Thursday, September 12, <br />2002 at 7:10 p.m. at the Village Offices at American Legion Hall at 7 Spring Street. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Cerino, Davis, Enson, Schinella, and Weitlich. (Mayor Ross, temporarily <br />delayed; and Tr. Consentino on vacation.) Also present; Village Street Superintendent Marshall, <br />Water Board Chairman Travis, Building Inspector Kolb. <br /> <br />Trustee Davis opened the Public Hearing indicated that the purpose was to solicit public <br />comment on proposed projects for the Community Development Program. <br /> <br />Trustee Cerino stated that there was concern regarding a sewer line in McCafferty Place. The <br />line had been previously viewed with a camera and there appeared to be some concern regarding <br />a possible collapse. He indicated that there had been some problems with the line; and it was <br />proposed to replace about to the curbs, and repair of the sidewalks and curbs, with repaving. <br /> <br />Water Commissioner Travis stated that the Board of Water Supply would like to request the <br />Village Board to consider a proposal to install a new 12" water line on South Remsen Avenue to <br />connect to a new 12" line from Wenliss Water Tank a "T" in the Project currently underway. <br /> <br />Trustee Enson inquired about a possible drainage project in the Second Ward, where storm water <br />ran down from Franklindale to Lower Market, and caused a serious problem during heavy rains. <br /> <br />Trustee Cerino stated that as of yet there were no cost figures on that. <br /> <br />There bring no further discussion, Motion by Trustee Cerino, Seconded by Trustee Schinella to <br />close the Public Hearing.
