The regularly scheduled meeting of the Mayor and the Village Board of Trustees was <br />held on Wednesday, October 8th, 2003 beginning at 7:30 PM at the American Legion <br />Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, NY, 12590. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br />Attendance: Mayor Lawrence, Deputy Mayor Juliano, Trustee Enson (ill), Trustee <br />Weitlich, Trustee Consentino, Trustee Schinella and Trustee Hilderbrand. <br /> <br />ACTION ON THE MINUTES: <br />Motion by Tr. Juliano seconded by Tr. Schinella to adopt the minutes of September <br />10th and September 24th 2003. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION OF PAYMENT OF AUDITED BILLS <br />MotiOn by Tr. Weitlich seconded by Tr. Juliano to authorize payment of all bills except <br />for New England Greenscape. Carried. <br /> <br />Presentation to Mr. Peter Sanfilippo <br />Clerk Karge & Mayor Lawrence awarded Mr. Peter Sanfilippo with a plaque for his <br />outstanding service to the community, Mr. Sanfilippo has given service to the Knights. <br />of Columbus for 26 years. He helped organize read races for the K of C and the Bill <br />'Cruise and Joseph McDonald run. <br /> <br />Businessmen's Association and Rotary Club Flags <br />Mayor Lawrence discussed his enthusiasm for the new flagS that the Rotary Club and <br />Businessmen's Association had distributed throughout the. Village. Mayor Lawrence <br />replied that Jack Fedigan had picked the best'colors "red, white, & blue". <br /> <br />Recreation Committee update <br />Ms. Veronica Robinson Co-Chairperson of the recreation committee expressed her <br />sincere thanks to all the residents and the volunteers who helped make the concert <br />series successful. She also sadly stated because of budget problems there will be no <br />Halloween parade this year. The Christmas tree lighting will take place in the Mesier <br />Park. Ms. Robinson also expressed the need for volunteers to help her and Bruce <br />Hayter. They have been trying to retire. The Recreation Committee is asking for <br />volunteers to help with the Easter Egg Hunt, Summer Camp, Concert Series, & the <br />Halloween Parade.
