Regul.ar meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Wednesday, <br />Feb. 11, 1976 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. DiBerto, Tr. Bain, Tr. Silvestri~ <br />Tr. Short and Atty. Lyons. <br />Absent: Tr. Belding (called in ill). <br /> <br />Minutes of the last regular ~eeting of the Village Board of Trustees held <br />Jan. 14~ 1976 had been duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Silvestri, seconded by Tr. Bain that the above minutes be <br />accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Communications: <br /> <br />Village 3ustice Reilly's report for month of January, 1976 was read showing <br />a total of $1100.00 collected in fines. <br /> <br />Mo%ion by Tr. Silvestri, seconded by Tr. Bain that the above report be accepted <br />as read. Carried. <br /> <br />Zoning officer's report for month of Jan., 1976 was read showing a total of <br />$70.00 collected in fees. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr. Silvestri that the above report be accepted <br />as read. Carried. <br /> <br />Card of Appreciation read from the family of Margaret Catalano. <br /> <br />Letter read from Zoning Officer, with atiached cody of a report from Multiple <br />Residence Officer concerning grave conditions which exist at Twin Towers <br />Apartments. Copies forwarded Fire Chief, Village Atty. & Dime Savings Bank. <br /> <br />Multiple Residence officer Alfonso reported serious problems existed at the <br />above comp%ex and action should be taken. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported Village could take action under the Multiple Residence <br />Law by giving owner 30 day.notice and then petition him to Village Court. <br /> <br />Mr. AlfonSo discussed water problem which existed, sewer stench and stated <br />one elevator was in operation..He reported tenants were terrified of the <br />possibility of a fire. <br /> <br />Tr. Dolan reported Village couldn't wait 30 dams to have these violations <br />corrected. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons stated immediate action could only come from the D,C. Health Dept. <br /> <br />Mr. Alfonso reported Village Board should be made aware of the situation should <br />a. major fire develop. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons.to confer with Zoning Officer in an effort to resolve the <br />above mentioned serious problems. <br /> <br /> <br />
