219 <br /> <br />A Special meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held.~n March 24, <br />at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Synnett, Tr. Dolan, Tr. Bain Tr. Silvestri, Tr. Belding, <br />Tr. Short and Tr. Elect Alfonso. <br /> <br />1976 <br /> <br />First item discussed was the scheduling of a Public Hearing on a Local <br />Law for a change of zoning to allow a liquor store in a Central Business <br />District. <br /> <br />Tr. Beldin9 reported that he didn't recall any authorization for a change. <br /> <br />Tr. Dolan reported meeting had been scheduled with the Planning Boa~d-~o <br />discuss same. <br /> <br />Tr. Short reported Planning Board recommended change not be made as same <br />wouldn't conform with Master Plan. <br /> <br />Tr. Belding reported change would only add to this traffic congested area. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Dolan, seconded by Tr. Silvestri that a Public Hearing on the <br />above mentioned Local Law be scheduled for April 14, 1976 at 7:00 PM. <br /> <br />Roll call: Tr. Bolan (aye), Tr. Bain (nay), Tr. Short (nay), Tr. Belding (nay), <br />Tr. Silvestri (aye), Mayor Synnett (aye). Motion tied, defeated. <br /> <br />Mayor Synnett reported he received letter from Rao Sanitation which stated <br />9aabage collection would increase $1,040. per mo. dee to the closing of the <br />dump. <br />He inquired if ~he Village was to conduct clean up days? <br /> <br />Tr. Belding reported this would depend on where the Village was going and <br />what the changes w~ld be. <br />He stated no accord could be reached on using the old dump site for clean up <br />days and if they were held, it would probably be in May. <br />Action deferred at the present time. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Bain, seconded by Tr. Belding that the Village Attorney be <br />authorized to obtain bonding resolution from the Bonding Attorney's to cover <br />the Market St. sewer. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Dolan, seconded by Tr. Beldin9 that Police Officer Prokupak's <br />resignation be accepted. Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Dolan, seconded by Tr. Short that Walter Ganzer be hired as <br />a full time Police Officer at a salary of $8750. and place on six months <br />probation. Carried. <br /> <br />Tr. Belding recommended part time Police Officer John McNalr either resign <br />or brought up on charges. <br />He requested he be suspended as of tonight. <br /> <br /> <br />
