251 <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Village Board of Trustees was held on Nednesday. <br />May 12, 1976 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall. <br /> <br />Present= Mayor..Synnett, Tr0 Dolan, Tr. Alfonso, Tr. Bain, Tr. Lawrence, <br />Tr. Belding, Tro O'Rourke and Atty. Lyons. <br /> <br />Minutes: <br />Minutes of the last regular ~eeting held 4-14-76 and special ~eetings held <br />4-30-76 and $-S-76 were duplicated and previously presented to Board members. <br /> <br />Motion by Tr. Belding, seconded by. Tr. Bain that the above minutes be <br />accepted as written. Carried. <br /> <br />Carmen Micelli addressed meeting concerning Board's,enforcement of 10 day <br />notice to be heard at a meeting, He stated agenda would have to be prepared <br />20'days prior to meeting 'in~'order to implement same. <br />Mr. Micelli reported main thing in. local Government was to have people <br />get involved, <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons reported there was a misapprehension concerning a public meeting <br />as the~e was no provision for participation. <br /> <br />~tayor Synnett stated residents could contact their respective Trustees. <br /> <br />Mr. Micellt stated petition to close the dump was specifically for garbage <br />and they werentt OPPosed to Village using same as a landfill site for <br />Clean Up Days. He stated ~illage says one thing and does another and <br />anything done should be done in a legal type way. <br /> <br />Tz; Bel~ing reported Village had another site for clea~ up but due to a <br />technicality, had to use old dump site as an emergency situation existed. <br /> <br />Tr. Lawrence reported Village did have approval for another site but someone <br />complain~ and owner didn't want the publicity so site was closed. <br />He stated itmms were in the street and had to be picked up. <br /> <br />Mrs. MacDowell discussed Park e~qoloyee who was hired but due to ~proper <br />procedures had to be let go. <br /> <br />A~enda~ <br /> <br />Request from residents of Dutchess Ave. & Dutchess Terr. to address meeting <br />concernin~ Temple Playground: <br /> <br />Mrs, Ko~ornik recommended swings be installed on upper level of the field <br />as it would be safer and less vandelism would occur. <br /> <br />Tr. Belding stated that he felt swings shouldn't be moved but re~ain aa is. <br /> <br />Tr. Lawrence reported that he agreed swings would be better on the upper level <br />as it would be safer if they were fenced in and would allow more parking <br />space for ball ga~es. <br /> <br /> <br />
