JOINT MEETING OF BOARD OF TRUSTEES AND PLANNING
BOARD, SEPTEMBER 30, 1976

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Synnett at 7:00 P.M.
Present: Mayor J. Donald Synnett, Trustees Raymond Bain, Raymond Belding
and James Alfonso, Planning Board Members Braccone, Castello, Delany
and Epstein, Zoning Enforcement Officer Haubennestel, Assessor Harry
Greco, Treasurer.Campilii, Village Attorney Lyons, Thomas Marcojohn and
Saul Kassow, attorney.

Attorney Kassow made an informal presentation of the manner
in which Thomas Marcojohn would like to develop his property on the
Albany-Post Road.

The owner hopes to use about 30 acres for single family
residential pruposes, the same being developed with one bedroom homes
for senior citizens. About 6 1/2 acres would be used for medical
offices and condominiums and approximately 10 acres for recreational
purposes. The recreational use contemplates the establishment of a
roller skating rink.

The owner expressed some concern over the possibility that
they would have to install roads in accordance with Village specifications
prior to development, and requested that the Board consider allowing the
establishment of the recreational facility with a private drive from
Route 9 as a temporary means of access.

The whole thing is now only a concept and the owner requested
the general reaction of the Board of Trustees and the Planning Board.
The owners presently have no firm commitments of any kind from tenants,
and realize that some change in zoning would be required in order to
install a roller skating rink.

It was the consensus of both boards that the plan was in
general a good one, but that implementation would have to be carefully
considered.

The meeting adjourned at 8:35 P. M.

SPECIAL MEETING, BOARD OF TRUSTEES, SEPTEMBER 30, 1976

The meeting was called to order by the Mayor at 8:45 P. M.
Present: Mayor Synnett, Trustees Bain, Belding and Alfonso, Treasurer
Campilii, Assessor Greco and Attorney Lyons.

Attorney Lyons advised the Board that the 72 and '73 tax
review proceedings for Imperial Plaza and Imperial Towers had been
placed on the Supreme Court Trial calendar for February of 1977. He
reported that in the '74 proceeding for the Plaza, the assessment
had been reduced from $1,874,600 to $1,300,000. This entailed a re-
duction of $574,000, but was deemed in the best interest of the
Village because the existing assessment was out of line with the sales
price when the premises were sold by the East New York Savings Bank
