211 <br /> <br /> 4/11/05 <br />Minutes of the "Tentative Budget Hearing" held April 1 lth, 2005 in the American <br />Legion Building 7 Spring Street at 7: PM. <br /> <br />Attendance as follows: Mayor Lawrence, Tr. Weitlich, Tr. Chase, Tr. Hilderbrand, Clerk <br />Karge and Resident Mr. J. Smith. <br /> <br />Trustee Cerino called and said he and the other Trustees were in a meeting at Village Hall <br />but would be available to answer questions if needed. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened the Hearing to the Public. <br /> <br />The Clerk read the following: <br /> <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the tentative budget for the Village of Wappingers <br />Falls, Dutchess County, New York, for the fiscal year 2005-2006 has been completed and <br />is filed with the Village Clerk of said Village, 2628 South Avenue, Wappingers Falls, <br />New York, where the same may be inspected by any interested person during the regular <br />hours of the business day, from the date of publication of this notice to the date of Public <br />Hearing on said budget. <br /> <br />NOTICE IS FUTHER GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Village of Wappingers <br />Falls, New York, will conduct a Public Hearin~ at the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring <br />Street, Wappingers Falls, New York on the 11u' of April, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. to review <br />said budget and any person may be heard in favor or against on any item therein <br />contained. <br />In summary total appropriations for the fiscal year 2005-2006 are $3,723,612. <br />Pursuant to Village Law, Section 5-509, notice is further given that the compensation to <br />be paid to the Mayor and each member of the Board of Trustees as follows: <br /> Mayor: $7638. <br /> Trustee: $4800. <br /> <br />Resident Mr. J. 'Smith asked if the Homestead budget was still in tact. Mayor Lawrence <br />pointed out that it was. Further discussion went on about painting the Homestead and <br />other repairs needed. The Library pedestrian crosswalk project was also briefly discussed. <br />Tr. Chase commented that the budget review process was still in progress and final <br />numbers were not yet available. Tr. Weitlich said the final date for adopting the budget <br />would be determined at the Regular Board Meeting set for Wednesday the 13th of April <br />2005. <br /> <br />The Mayor asked, there were any other questions.
