The Regularly Scheduled Meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees was held on April 13, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE ROLL CALL: Mayor Lawrence, present; Deputy Mayor Weitlich, present; Tr. Cerino, present; Tr. Chase, present; Tr. Marshall, present; Tr. Hilderbrand, present. Tr. Visentin was absent at the start of the Roll Call. He did arrive at the meeting at 7:07 P.M. ACTION ON MINUTES: March 9, 2005, Regular Board Meeting; April 4, 2005, Reorganizational Meeting; April 6, 2005, Workshop (Cottam Hill) and Tentative Budget Hearing, April 11, 2005. Tr. Weitlich requested the minutes be done individually as Tr. Chase and himself were not present for the March 9th meeting. Clerk Karge stated Tr. Weitlich and Tr. Chase could abstain. Motion by Tr. Cerino to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held on March 9th. Seconded by Tr. Marshall. All in favor. Carried. Motion by Tr. Weitlich to accept the minutes of the reorganizational meeting held on April 4th. Seconded by Tr. Cerino. All in favor. Carried. Motion by Tr. Weitlich to accept the minutes of the April 6th workshop. Seconded by Tr. Cerino. All in favor. Carried. Motion by Tr. Weitlich to accept the minutes of the Tentative Budget Hearing held on April 11th. Seconded by Tr. Cerino. All in favor. Carried. AUTHORIZATION TO PAY BILLS AS PER APPROVED WARRANT. Motion by Tr. Cerino to pay bills that were presented in the Warrant. Seconded by Tr. Weitlich. All in favor. Carded. Previous Business: Recognize Municipal Clerks Week, May 1st through May 7th. Mayor Lawrence stated this was under previous business. Clerk Karge will read the resolution. · Clerk Karge read the resolution pertaining to the Municipal Clerk. The resolution states that the Clerk is a public servant who provides the professional link between the citizens, the local governing bodies and agencies of government at all levels. He must be neutral and impartial and render equal service to all. He is the information center on functions of local government and community. He strives to improve the administration of the affairs of the office of the Clerk. This is done by participating in education programs, seminars, workshops and the annual meeting of the State, province, county and international professional organization. It is appropriate that the compliments of the Clerk be recognized. May 1 st through May 7th is the week recognized as Municipals Clerks Week. (This Resolution may be seen at the Village Hall.) Clerk Karge then stated if he did not have the staff that he has, the Village would be behind and the Village should be proud of the staff that is in the Village Hall.
