The Regularly Scheduled Meeting of the Mayor and Village Board of Trustees was <br />held on April 13, 2005 at 7:00 P.M. in the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, <br />Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Mayor Lawrence, present; Deputy Mayor Weitlich, present; Tr. Cerino, <br />present; Tr. Chase, present; Tr. Marshall, present; Tr. Hilderbrand, present. Tr. Visentin <br />was absent at the start of the Roll Call. He did arrive at the meeting at 7:07 P.M. <br /> <br /> ACTION ON MINUTES: March 9, 2005, Regular Board Meeting; April 4, 2005, <br /> Reorganizational Meeting; April 6, 2005, Workshop (Cottam Hill) and Tentative Budget <br /> Hearing, April 11, 2005. <br /> Tr. Weitlich requested the minutes be done individually as Tr. Chase and himself were <br /> not present for the March 9th meeting. <br /> Clerk Karge stated Tr. Weitlich and Tr. Chase could abstain. <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino to accept the minutes of the regular meeting held on March 9th. <br />Seconded by Tr. Marshall. All in favor. Carried. <br />Motion by Tr. Weitlich to accept the minutes of the reorganizational meeting held on <br />April 4th. Seconded by Tr. Cerino. All in favor. Carried. <br />Motion by Tr. Weitlich to accept the minutes of the April 6th workshop. Seconded by Tr. <br />Cerino. All in favor. Carried. <br />Motion by Tr. Weitlich to accept the minutes of the Tentative Budget Hearing held on <br />April 11th. Seconded by Tr. Cerino. All in favor. Carried. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO PAY BILLS AS PER APPROVED WARRANT. <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino to pay bills that were presented in the Warrant. Seconded by Tr. <br />Weitlich. All in favor. Carded. <br /> <br />Previous Business: <br /> <br /> Recognize Municipal Clerks Week, May 1st through May 7th. <br /> Mayor Lawrence stated this was under previous business. Clerk Karge will read the <br /> resolution. · <br />Clerk Karge read the resolution pertaining to the Municipal Clerk. The resolution states <br />that the Clerk is a public servant who provides the professional link between the citizens, <br />the local governing bodies and agencies of government at all levels. He must be neutral <br />and impartial and render equal service to all. He is the information center on functions of <br />local government and community. He strives to improve the administration of the affairs <br />of the office of the Clerk. This is done by participating in education programs, seminars, <br />workshops and the annual meeting of the State, province, county and international <br />professional organization. It is appropriate that the compliments of the Clerk be <br />recognized. May 1 st through May 7th is the week recognized as Municipals Clerks Week. <br />(This Resolution may be seen at the Village Hall.) <br />Clerk Karge then stated if he did not have the staff that he has, the Village would be <br />behind and the Village should be proud of the staff that is in the Village Hall. <br /> <br /> <br />
