Regularly Scheduled Meeting of the Mayor and the Village Board of Trustees was <br />held on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 in the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring Street, <br />Wappingers Falls, New York 12590 <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Mayor Lawrence, Tr. Weitlich, Tr. Cerino, Tr. Chase, Tr. Marshall, Tr. <br />Visentin. It was noted by the Clerk that Tr. Hilderbrand would be late. <br />(Note: Tr. Hilderbrand arrive 7:,20 P.M.) <br /> <br />ACTION ON MINUTES: June 8, 2005. <br />Motion by Tr. Weitlich, seconded by Tr. Marshall to accept the minutes as written. <br />All in favor. Carried. <br />Tr. Cerino stated for the record he would abstain from this vote as he was not in <br />attendance for the above meeting. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO PAY BILLS AS PER APPROVED WARRANT. <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino that all bills be paid by Friday so that the Finance Committee can <br />review all the vouchers. There are some that the Treasurer has and Tr. Weitlich would <br />like to review them. He reviewed them and he did not see any irregularities. Seconded <br />by Tr. Weitlich. All in favor. Carried. <br /> <br /> RECOGNITION PRESENTATION. <br /> Clerk stated the Mayor and Board of Trustees would like to reCognize two Village <br /> volunteers, Ronnie Robinson and Bruce Hayter. The Clerk then read the plaque which <br /> stated that on behalf of the Mayor and the Board of Trustees and citizens of the Village, <br /> they would like to extend their sincere gratitude for the outstanding job theY have <br /> performed in the area of Village Recreation and special events. It is the Village's <br /> privilege to have fine volunteers as them, participating and coordinating events such as <br /> Picnic in the Park, summer concerts and summer camp. Their dedication and <br /> professionalism have been critical to the success of the Recreation Program overall. The <br /> unparalleled beauty of the Village coupled with their commitment through excellence in <br /> the recreation area will continue to build a strong environment for all to share. This is <br /> very much appreciated. <br /> Ms. Robinson said thank you. <br /> Mayor pointed out they do a terrific job for the. Village. <br />Ms. Robinson stated through the support of everyone here on the Board and the Mayor <br />and the Clerk, the Police Dept., Fire Dept., Highway Dept, they have all been a big <br />supPort especially at the Picnic in the Park. They always are a support through all <br />seasons no matter what is being done. They could not do this with all the help. <br /> <br />LOCAL CITIZEN'S CONCERNED ABOUT CONDITION OF SOUTH REMSEN. <br />Gerald McCluskey, 17 South Remsen Ave., read a letter with regard to the above. The <br />letter basically advised of the condition of the road, sidewalks, curbs, etc. He also <br />questioned the reason that money Was not available for Remsen Ave. (Copy of this letter <br />is attached to the minutes.) <br /> <br /> <br />
