t,o, The Mayor and Board of Trustees Conducted an Emergency Meeting on Monday July 25, 2005 at 5:00 P.M. in the Village Hall, 2628 South Avenue, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 ROLL CALL: Tr. Chase, present; Tr. Cerino, present; Tr. Weitlich, present; Tr. Marshall, present; Mayor Lawrence, present. Trustees Hilderbrand and Visentin absent. Others Present: Jennifer Brown (Candidate for Treasurer) & her husband Mayor Lawrence stated that first on the agenda would be approval to hire Mrs. Jennifer Brown as Treasurer for balance of term 4/3/06 and waive residency for balance of that term. Motion by Tr. Weitlich to hire Jennifer Brown as Treasurer. She is aware that it's an appointed position but we've told her that Village officials sometimes stay for 30 years. They are not worded about the appointment. She has agreed to accept the position at $39,000 per year. Seconded by Tr. Marshall. Mayor asked if there was any discussion before the vote. Tr. Cerino stated for the record it is a 35 hours a week job. Tr. Weitlich would also to put in the minutes as part of the motion, Jennifer is aware of this, that theVillage will pay medical benefits up to 85% of the total cost. Anyone hired after April of '03 is contributing to medical. Jennifer is also aware that if she is under her husband's medical, that she will get a $2,500 a year stipend. All in favor. Carded. Roll Call Vote: Tr. Chase, aye; Tr. Cerino, aye; Tr. Weitlich, aye; Tr. Marshall, aye; Tr. Marshall, aye; Mayor Lawrence, aye. Carded. Tr. Weitlich stated the record should reflect it was unanimous. Mayor Lawrence then stated the second item on the agenda would be the approVal to hire Nora Zambrano as P/T Court Clerk, 10 hOurs a week. Tr. Cerino stated this is really for the translation. Tr. Weitlich stated we would want it in the motion that she is a translator. Mayor stated this has already been said. Tr. Cerino said he believes it is $11.00 per hour for her. Tr. Weitlich replied that is correct. Motion by Tr. Cerino that Mrs. Nora Zambrano be hired as a part time Court Clerk, 10 hours a week at $11.00 an hour. Seconded by Tr. Marshall. Mayor asked if there was any discussion? Tr. Marshall asked if this was 10 hours a week and was told yes. Tr. Weitlich stated when they Were interviewing Mrs. Zambrano is that there might be a possibility that the Police may use her also for translation. Tr. Marshall stated there is a Police officer that speaks Spanish. Tr. Weitlich replied if he is not on, she said she would be willing to translate. Mayor asked if all were in favor. All replied aye. Mayor then asked if there should a roll call vote and Tr. Cerino replied they should.
