Regular Meeting of the Mayor and the Village Board of TrUStees was held on <br />Wednesday, October 12, 2005 in the American Legion Hall, 7 Spring street, <br />Wappingers Falls, NY 12590 <br /> <br />Meeting was called to order 7:00 P.M. <br /> <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL: Mayor Lawrence; Tr. Weitlich; Tr. Marshall; Tr. Chase; Tr. Cerino; Tr. <br />Visentin; Tr. Hilderbrand. All present. <br /> <br />ACTION ON MINUTES: September 14, 2005. <br />Mayor Lawrence stated that he had a couple of questions on the minutes. He was not at <br />the last meeting and he read through the minutes and there are some things that he has <br />questions about. There are a lot in the minutes on page 8 in reference to dispatchers. He <br />has Commissioner Capra standing by but he would like to speak to him in Executive <br />Session about this and a couple of other things. <br />Clerk stated the Mayor can discuss these things but are the minutes okay? <br />Mayor stated this came up at the workshop. He reads the minutes. Everything else <br />seems to be in order but this particular thing regarding the part time Police Assistants, he <br />wants verification on that from Commissioner Capra. <br />Clerk stated that those who were present at the meeting are the ones who can approve the <br />minutes. <br />Mayor stated he would like to discuss this in Executive Session to get a clarification. <br />Tr. Weitlich stated he was not present and he would not vote either. <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino to accept minutes as written. Seconded by Tr. Marshall. All in <br />favor. Carried. <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO PAY BILS AS PER APPROVED WARRANTS. <br />Motion by Tr. Cerino to pay bills as per approved warrants. Seconded by Tr. Weitlich. <br />All in favor. Carried. <br />Tr. Weitlich pointed out that he spoke with the Treasurer and she informed him that there <br />are certain bills, by State Law, she is allowed to pay without approval of the Board but <br />they have to give authorization at the next meeting. <br />Tr. Cerino replied there were two warrants and that is why it says warrants. <br />Clerk stated he changed it from warrant to warrants and both warrants for the month of <br />September were approved today. <br />Mayor asked if this was for insurance policies and the like and was told yes. <br /> <br />REGULAR SESSION: <br /> <br />EMERGENY ITEM: Drainage problems on South Remsen Avenue. (Mayor) <br />Mayor Lawrence stated this past Saturday night there was nine inches of rain. Sunday <br />morning he received a call from Mrs. Rogers and a few other people on the street and he <br />met with John Ashbum also. He stated he was going to try and get this street black <br />topped before the winter out of a fund we have there now. There is about $90,000. <br /> <br /> <br />
