Minutes following the 4/14/2021 Village Organizational Meeting, Tentative <br /> Budget Hearing and monthly regular meeting of the Mayor and Board of <br /> Trustees <br /> Village Organizational Meeting <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: <br /> MOMENT OF SILENCE. <br /> Long time village resident Vincent Francese passed away 4/14/21. Vinny was a lifelong resident <br /> of the village very involved with the community and was a village justice for many years and <br /> military veteran. <br /> APPOINTMENT VILLAGE CLERK(2 Year Term) (Board) <br /> Motion by Trustee Huber to reappoint John M. Karge as Village Clerk. Seconded by Trustee <br /> Niznik. Carried. <br /> John thanked the board for their confidence in him as the clerk and he commented on the fact the <br /> village had only two clerks over the past half century, Honorable Leo Lowney and himself. <br /> Those in attendance applauded. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 062021 of 2021 <br /> MAYORAL APPOINTMENT RESOLUTION APPOINTING 3RD WARD TRUSTEE <br /> TO THE VILLAGE OF WAPPINGERS FALLS <br /> The following Resolution was introduced by Mayor Cerino <br /> WHEREAS, Kristin Catalano has tendered her resignation, effective April 1, 2021, as 3rd <br /> Ward Trustee, causing a vacancy on the Village Board of Trustees; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Village Law § 3-312(3)(b), the Mayor is authorized to fill such <br /> vacancy for the remainder of the unexpired term; and <br /> WHEREAS the Mayor conducted interviews with several interested appointees for the <br /> vacant 3rd Ward seat; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Mayor, in consultation with the Village Board of Trustees, has <br /> reviewed various resumes of interested persons and has determined that Adam Lauricella is the <br /> best candidate to fill the vacancy of 3rd Ward Trustee; now, therefore <br /> Page 1 of 22 <br />
