It is an update based off of February's update. It
includes the latest findings and happenings. Please read through to the end as some of the most
recent developments are in closure.
Thank you for the opportunity to serve you all.
Grease Trap Study NYSEFC EPG - Grant was taken in 2019
• As discussed at the February meeting the Village would engage with Passero Associates to
review the report KC Engineering that put forth in December 2021. Upon reviewing the
report, the intention is to have Passero Associates render a capital solution for the study.
• The grant requires a capital investment solution in conjunction with the study's results.
• Stacey Kuriam of Passero Associates and I had a follow up call with the Environmental
Facilities Corporation (EFC).
The call with Rebecca Lanahan, P.E.. engineer from the EFC and Stacey Kuriam, P.E. had a
great call and so far we are on track for fulfilling the grant's requirements. We have to
finalize the addendum to the report and we are required to fulfill the Minority Women owed
Business Enterprise Program (MWBE)reports
• Upon fulfillment of the grant we will receive the remainder of the $15,000 for engineering
and $6,000 for in-kind services.
• By entering an agreement with Passero, the Village has been able to save $3,000 in
engineering costs which will directly be available to the village to use towards in-kind
services., totaling $6,000 additional to the village.
• Had we not entered this agreement with Passero, the Village would have had to pay back the
$15,000 disbursed to the Village preciously. With that said, the Village has already paid KC
Engineering $22,645 (+/-) for the incomplete EPG report.
CDBG—PAGGI TERRACE/HABITAT Sewer Line
• Still working with the County to find a viable solution for the total grant of$116,000.
