Minutes following the 06/02/2022 Special Village Board Meeting Welcome to the Village of Wappingers Falls special meeting of the Mayor and Board of Trustees today Thursday, June 02, 2022, 6:30 PM PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG: ROLL CALL: Mayor Cerino, Aye. REGULAR SESSION: Approval Rte. 9 manhole permanent repair contractor Cicone. Trustee Sidote Mayor Cerino and Village Trustees, I attended the meeting on Friday May to discuss the Route 9 Manhole Repairs that are going to be completed under the emergency contract by Ciccone. Since that time, I have reviewed the documentation that Ciccone provided to the Village to establish the cost estimate for the work which requires prevailing wage to be paid. The work will be completed on a Time and Material Basis (contractor will get paid based on hours of personnel utilized and material costs as outlined in our emergency contract)with an estimated cost of$229,807.51. This cost is based on the work being completed as agreed to by the NYSDOT and VWF. Weather may also alter the costs as the cost estimate is based on having good weather for the complete project time span of 8 days. I recommend that the VWF approve Ciccone to complete the Route 9 Manhole Repairs in accordance with the VWF Emergency Contract with Ciccone. Also, based on the email from Pete Paggi about inspection for the project, I would recommend the Village budget$5,000 additional funding to cover part-time inspection by JRFA during the project duration. If full time inspection is required additional costs will be incurred. Please let me know if you have questions in reference to this email.
