WHEREAS, Village Law §7-722 sets forth general parameters for the content of the <br /> comprehensive plan and the procedure for its adoption; and <br /> WHEREAS, the adoption of a Comprehensive Plan is a Type I action pursuant to Article 8 of <br /> the Environmental Conservation Law and Part 617 of the New York State Code of Rules and <br /> Regulations (commonly known as "SEQRA"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that the Proposed Action is an action for which <br /> there are no other Involved Agencies and that the Village Board is therefore, by default, the Lead <br /> Agency for this action; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Village Board wishes to introduce the Village of Wappingers Falls <br /> Comprehensive Plan for public comment and review to ascertain the future of the needs of the <br /> Village so that appropriate land use regulations may be adopted and implemented; <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Village Board hereby introduces <br /> the new Village of Wappingers Falls Comprehensive Plan in the form annexed hereto; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, a copy of the aforesaid proposed new Village of Wappingers <br /> Falls Comprehensive Plan be provided to each member of the Board; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Board shall hold a public hearing on said <br /> proposed new Village of Wappingers Falls Comprehensive Plan on 9/14/22; and <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Village Board hereby authorizes and directs the Village <br /> Clerk to act as follows with respect to the proposed new Village Comprehensive Plan: <br /> A. To post, and to publish or cause to be published a public notice in the official newspaper <br /> of the Village of Wappingers Falls of said public hearing at least ten(10)days prior thereto; <br /> B. To serve a copy of this Resolution, the annexed proposed new Village of Wappingers Falls <br /> Comprehensive Plan, and the Public Hearing Notice to the municipal clerk of each abutting <br /> municipality not less than ten(10) days prior to said public hearings; <br /> C. To refer a copy of said new Village of Wappingers Falls Comprehensive Plan to the <br /> Planning Board of the Village of Wappingers Falls; and <br /> Page 2 of 6 <br />
