Public Hg0 on 3 proposed ordinances was held on Wed., Mar. 10, 1971 at <br />7:00 P.H. in the Mesier Homestead. <br /> <br />Those Present: Mayor Furnari, Tr. DiDo~izio, Ir. Valentino, Tr. Bain, <br />Tr. S~nnett. Tr. Hoolihan, Tr. McCluskey and Attyo Lyons. <br /> <br />Atty. Lyons outlined proposed ordinances as follous: <br /> <br />l~_.O~d!nance ~esignatin9 stop Intersection: <br />An ordinance designating the intersection of Nelson Ave. and Clinton St. <br />as a atop intersection and requiring ~otor vehicles to come to a fell <br />stop before entering such intersection from any direction. <br /> <br />2. Ordinance regulattn9 parking on ~ast ~in Street: <br />An ordinance prohibiting parking between the hours of 8 AN to 6 PN on <br />the southerly side of East Main St. between South Ave. andMesier Ave. <br />for a perto~ of time in excess of 15 winutes, Sundays excepted. <br /> <br />Letter was read fr~ Postmaster Bdwin Hinz~ann favoring above ordinance. <br /> <br />3. Dog O~dinMtce <br />An Ordinance regulatin9 the keeping and runnln9 at large of dogs within <br />the Village of Wappingers Falls, N.Y. <br /> <br />Itty. Lyons outlined provisions of above ordinance. He stated Village <br />didn't have a Do9 Warden when original do9 ordinance was adopted. <br /> <br />Mr. George Wells, Dog Warden, recommended dogs in heat be not allowed <br />outs~e, <br />Mr. Wells inquired if he had authoiity to dispose of a do~ who was hit <br />or injured and Arty. Lyons replied this was covered under the <br />A~ricelture Law. <br /> <br />Mr. Wells inquired as to what action could be taken concerning dogs <br />running at l&rge after Owners have been notified and Arty.
