A Workshop session of the ¥illase Board of Trustees was held on 1-24-89 <br />at 7:00 P.M. in the VillaSe Hail. <br /> <br />Tr. Costello and Arty. ¥islottt. <br /> <br />Mr. Patrick Lyons, Assto Chief &t the S.wo Johnson Gnsine Co** stated <br /> <br />they were havin9 ~rouble with fire hydrants and submitted the followin9 <br />list of hydrants which were eithe~ defective or inorerative: <br /> <br />Hydrant on Fulton St, <br />Hydrant on HYMes~er Ave. near Veterans Park, <br />Hydrant at the entrance to Ashley Apartments on Rte. 9. <br /> <br />Mr. Pat Lyons reported there should be some kind of protection as to <br /> <br />ChanCe schedule for the Water Department. <br />Me stated it would be helpful if he had a copy o£ the updated water system <br />including the proposed betterments for Rte. 9, <br />Mr, Lypns reported alarm system at Kemp Bentley in the Industrial Park <br />had been taken out of service and owner of the complex was advised that <br />the alarm should be installed at the D.C. Fire Alarm headquarters. <br /> <br />Discussion followed on the safety of the brtdgeto the entrance of the Indust- <br />rial park and Tr. Greco to approach DOT as to the possibility of they <br />inspectin9 the bridSe and submit a written report on their findings. <br /> <br />H~. Pacio, Z°niu9 Department, addressed meetin9 concernin9 the abandomed <br />car program stating three cars remain~n9 in Oak Park. <br /> <br />Dtooussion followed on the disposition of ~unked cars throughout the <br />Viii&gee <br /> <br />Mr. P&cio recommended a petty ~eash fund be ~et up for his office to <br />cover corti~ed mail and other expenses incurred, <br /> <br />Request from Justice Chase to expend $580.00 for the purchase of 40 metal <br />chairs for the Court. <br /> <br />Motion by Ts, Ward, seconded by ~r. Costello that the above request <br />~e granted. <br /> <br />Train!n{ &f Police Officers= <br />Motion by Tro Ward that Lieuto McCor~ he authorized to conduct & training <br />course for 6 newly appointed officers. Motion not seconded. Defeated. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned 9:15 P.M. <br /> <br />Village Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
