30 The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier <br /> Homestead on Wednesday Evening, September 5th. 1945 at 7;30 P.M. <br /> <br />Those present; TrUstee Pag~i, Riley, Temple, Kane,BerinatosTerwllliger, <br />Ma.~or.McCafferty,Atty. $chofield and Treas. LeRoy. <br /> <br /> Meeting called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous regular <br /> meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Kane and seconded by Trustee <br /> Paggl the minutes stands adopted as read. <br /> <br /> $2~I?. Police Juetioe,Begg report for the month of August was read annou- <br />ncing that the sum of $35, OO was forward to the State Dept. as to comply <br />with the new law . Motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee' Ka~e <br />the. report be accepted as read. <br />$25I~. A card of thanks was received from the family of the late Joseph <br />McCafferty of Geneva, N.Y. <br /> <br /> $25I~. A Card of thanks was received from the 2~ly of the late Ex-Villag, <br />Attorney Hassett. Motion by Trustee Temple and seconded by Trustee Paggi <br />the ,same be accepted and filed. <br /> <br />$25119. Police officer E~gan and DiBerto report of arrest i~or the month of. <br />Au~. st was received and ordered filed. <br /> <br />$25120. Fire insurance policy on 0o.$2 Headquarters was received for renewal <br />from Agent. Walker. <br /> <br /> $252I' Liability and property damage polic~ on Co.$2 Fire Apparatu~ was <br />received for rene~ from Agent Beasley. Motion by Trustee Rile~ and sec- <br />onded by Trustee Kane the policies be renewed and the bills ordered p~id. <br /> <br />No report received from the Health Officer Dr. O'Brien for the month of <br />August. <br /> <br /> Chairman Kane of t~e Highway committee reported that he was talking to <br />Ray Marshall about the repairs to the Grader and he informed him that Mr. ~ <br />Kettle was sick an unable to repair the Grader. Chairman Kane also reported! <br />that he had reoeived.a written complaint which was unsigned about the the <br />sidewalks and highways being littered with papers,bottles etc. He requested! <br /> if the village had an ordinance to overcome this condition. Under the head <br /> of this report the question came before the meeting in regards to themot-~ <br /> orcyclee creating a,lot of noise up and down the main streets. The questio~ <br /> also came before the meeting of the parking situation on the West Main St. <br /> Also about the buses stopping at the corner instead of the center of the <br /> bridge to discharge and take on passengers. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee ~a~iand seconded by Trustee Kane the clerk be directed <br />to notify the bus companies to instruct the drivers to stop the buses only <br />in the center of the Stone Bridge to take on or discharge passengers in the <br />future. <br /> <br /> Motion by Trustee Kane and seconded by Trustee Riley the clerk be direct- <br />ed to notify all merchants of the ordinance of sweeping paper,rubbieh Etc. <br /> upon the sidewalks or highway of the village will be enforced in the fur- <br /> <br />Chairman Riley of the Electric light committee reported progress; <br /> <br />Chairman Temple of the Fire committee reported progress; <br /> <br /> ~See page <br /> <br /> <br />
