The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier <br />Homestead on Wednesday Evening October 3rd. I945 at 7;3o <br /> <br />Those present; Trustee Paggi, Riley, Temple, Kane, Berinato,Terwilliger, <br />Mayor McCafferty, Atty. Schofield and Treas. LeRoy. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order. Roll call. The minutes of the previous regular <br />meeting were read. Upon motion by Trustee Kane and seconded by Trustee <br />Pag~gi the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br /> $2525. Police Justice Begg report for th, month of September was read <br /> announcing that the sum of $ 60.00 collected in fines was forward to the <br /> State Dept. as to comply with the new law. Motion by Trustee Riley and <br /> seconded by Trustee Paggi the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br />$ 2526. A communication was read from the S.W~Johnson Eng. Co.$2 request- <br />ing a five years exemption certificate for J.F.X. Delehanty and & Life Rol2 <br />exemption certificate for Wm. Lattanzio. Motion by Trustee Berin&to and <br />seconded by Trustee Terwilliger the s~_me be granted. <br /> <br />:$ 2527. An invitation was read from the S.W.Jo~nson Eng. Co.~2 inviting <br />the members of the Board and other officials to be their guest on the I3th. <br />of October. Motion bY Trustee Berinato and seconded by Trustee Kane the <br />same be accepted. <br /> <br />$2528' Health officer Dr. O'Brien submitted the following report for the <br />mont. h of July, August and September: During the month of July no =sport was <br />forward on account of overlooking, the date of the meeting. During the mont2 <br />of July there seemed to be plenty of illness mostly of the stomach and in- <br />tes$inal grippe,no contagios disease reported du~.ing the month, one men- <br />tal.derangement case was sent to the Hudson River State Hospital on a <br /> health officer permit. During the month of August your health officer~ <br /> was~away on his vaca.tion. ~In the month ~of September because of the sudden <br /> change in temperture, there were many cases of colds and coughs, no contag- <br /> ious disease reported. Water sample, was taken and sent to Albany for ex- <br /> amination at the end of the month. Motion by Trustee Paggi and seconded by <br /> TruBtee Riley the report be accepted as read. <br /> <br /> $2529. A letter received from the Pizzuto Bus Co. in reply to the one for- <br /> ward in regards to the Bus drivers stopping the buses at the corner instea¢ <br /> of the center of the Stone Bridge. Same ordered filed. <br /> ~25~0, A liability and property damage policy on the Garbage truck was <br /> received from Agent D.D.Beasley for renewal. Motion by Trustee Terwilliger <br /> and. seconded by Trustee Paggi the policy be renewed and the bill ordered <br /> paid. <br /> <br /> $253I. Police Officer E&gan and DiBerto report of arrest for the montk of'~ <br /> September was received and ordered filed. <br /> <br /> Ch$ir~man Kane of the'Highway Committee reported that the letters mailed <br /> out to the Businessmen of the Village in regards to sweeping papers Etc. <br /> into the streets has done some good. He also reported that the G.M.C. <br /> truck was in need of repairs and he suggested that we should do somet~aing <br /> about getting a truck as we will need one for plowing the highways this <br /> winter. Under the head of this report Mayor McCafferty reported that he <br /> had received a catalog from the U.S. Government listing trucks for sale. <br /> The members of the Board discussed the question of purchasing a ~=uok. <br /> <br /> <br />
