The reMular meeting of the Board of Trustees was held at the Mesier <br />Hpmestead on Wednesday Evening, November ?th. 1945 at 7;30 <br /> <br />T'hose present; Trustee PagEi, Riley, ~emple,Kane, Berinato~ Terwilliger, <br />~ayor McCafferty, Treas. LeRoy & Atty. Schofield. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order, Roll call. The minutes of the previousI <br />reMular meeting was read. Upon motion by Trustee Kane and seconded by <br />Trustee Riley the minutes stand adopted as read. <br /> <br />'2532. Card of thank w~s read from the from the family of the late Mrs. <br />William P. Sherman. Motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee <br />Kane the same be accepted and filed. <br /> <br /> $2533 Police Justice B~E~ report for the month of October was read &nno~x~- <br /> c~ing that the sum of $ ?3.00 collected in fines was forward to the State! <br /> Dept. as to comply with the new law. <br /> <br /> $ 2534. Dr. O'Brien Health officer submitted the following r~port for the <br /> month of October. During the month of October their was a considerable 1 <br /> outbreak of intestinal grippe some cases had quite a severe <br /> dlarohoea, most of the patients blamed this on ~he food they had eaten <br /> this was not the case however as it~ was not only in the village but & wide <br /> spread over a wide area such as Hughsonville,New Hamburg & Vassar road. <br /> <br /> There were no con~agious disease reported to your Health officer,although <br /> I heard of some cases of pneumoni& which were not reported. There were <br /> no complaints reg.arding health matters. The water examination report was <br /> very satisfactory .as usual. <br /> <br />$ 2535. The report~ of registrar of vital statistics was received from the <br />State Dept. of Heal'th announcing that there were no still births, one bir~ <br />certificate 29 dearth certificates and I2 prompt reports issued. Motioni <br />by Trustee Pa~Ei and seconded by Trustee Berinato the reports be accepted <br />as read. <br /> <br />$2536. A communic~tion was read from the W.T.Garner Eng. Co.$I requesting~ <br />a five years exemp~i0n~certificate for Oscar Goebel and Charles Vetter. <br />Motion by Trustee Riley and seconded by Trustee Temple the same be grant- <br />~ ed, <br /> <br />$ 253?. Police Officer Eagan, DiBerto and Costa report of arrest for the <br />month of October was received and ordered filed. <br /> <br /> Agent from the International Truck Company approached the members of the <br /> board in regards to giving details and prices on new truck which he under- <br /> stood the village was interested in buying. He estimated a dump truck of <br /> the size of I~ to 2 tons complete would cost about $ 2yoO. oo and he would <br /> check over the old truck to ascertain the cost for allowance on a turn in. <br /> <br /> Mayor McCafferty su22ested that the agent check over the G.M.C. truck to <br />note the condition and what allowance could he made and draw up his estim~ <br />ate and the Board would hold a special meeting on November I3th. at ?;30 p.M. <br />at which time he could be present to give the full particulars. <br /> <br /> Chairman Kane of the highway committee reported progress; <br /> Chairman Riley of the Electric committee reported progress; <br /> Chairman Temple of the fire committee reported progress; <br /> <br /> <br />
